Casa Alice

We stayed here for one night in June. The hosts were really nice and worked hard with google translator to welcome us. The apartment was spacious for 2 people and in a very central location with many bars and restarants in easy walking distance. We very much enjoyed Chioggia with plenty of bustle with a more local feel than venice. Parking was a little tricky with the owner giving us a pass to put in the window. It took maybe 20 mins up and down back streets to find somewhere but got there in the end. All in all a nice stay in a local property. The location on booking.com is out a bit but we followed another reviewers directions to find it no problem.

Nothing worth mentoning

The only positives were the location and the size of the apartment. The beds were relatively comfortable, and the bathroom was quite spacious and well-equipped. There is one parking spot available right in front of the house, but as I’ll explain below, it might not be a good idea to park your car there.

Our experience at this property was quite disappointing. The landlady doesn't speak or seem to understand English; she only speaks Italian. We had to rely on Google Translate to communicate with her. The kitchen was dirty—the oven clearly hasn't been cleaned in a long time, and the rest of the kitchen wasn't much better. The light in the kitchen was very harsh and cold, almost like a morgue. I don't understand why anyone would choose such lighting. Additionally, the window in the small bedroom didn't open, even for ventilation. Handing over the keys was a hassle. At the appointed time, the landlady was unavailable, so we decided to go out for lunch. Even after an hour and a half, she still hadn't replied. We eventually went back to the apartment and finally managed to meet her and hand over the keys. The final straw was when we were adjusting our navigator in the car parked under the window. The landlady poured a bucket of dirty water right out the window and onto our car! Apparently, she thought we had already left, but this behavior was inexcusable and unprofessional. Pay attention: The address given on the website indicates the house is on the main street, but access to the house is actually from a small, narrow street running parallel to it.

Google maps were wrong

The apartment is very clean, comfortable, well equiped with everything you need, renovated, on the first floor of one old house in the old part of the city. The host lives on the floor above. She is very kind. She doesnt speak English very well but with Google translate communication was easy. Free car parking place is on the street in the front of buildng. The host gaves us the some permission paper for parking we had to put on the windshield. The apartment has excelent sound isolation. The address given on the Booking is wrong, the correct is Calle Forno San Giacomo 708, near one pharmacy.

Very difficult to locate premises even using Booking location finder and Maps. Basin drain plug faulty, lack of toilet paper. Problematic Hot water

Good location in the city center, close to the main street/shops. Parking provided.

It felt like there was no cleaning after the previous guests. It was challenging to find the apartman and the owner didn’t help at all, when we called her via phone, she put down the phone. When we messaged her in the booking app she answered the following day.
