Alagona House

Alagona House is a fantastic, spacious apartment in a great location. Grazia is a fantastic host who provided us on our arrival with a lovely basket of goodies and a bottle of nice wine. Parking is a big issue in Ortigia but Alagona House have a relationship with a local car park which works fine. Would definitely recommend Alagona House to people looking for a very nice, spacious apartment in Ortigia.

The apartment was fabulous for our 3n stay. Grazia was a great host. The location perfect with everything at our doorstep.

We have travelled extensively throughout Europe and this would be one of our favourite accommodations over the years. A beautiful spacious, centrally located apartment that has a level of cleanliness that you won't even find in five star hotels. Despite central location the apartment is quiet thanks to the double glazed windows. Good quality linen and towels and very comfy bed. First time I have given a perfect score of 10.on this site.Thank you Grazia for a wonderful stay!!

The setting was excellent and the apartment was beautiful. Our host was fantastic - and left us a huge basket of wine, Prosecco, soft drinks, snacks, breakfast items etc. This was the best apartment we have stayed in, in a stunning location. I would have given it 11/10 if I could.

Lovely spacious apartment with high ceilings and really big rooms with 2 balconies in an amazing traditional building. All very comfortable and well furnished. Very good shower. The host lives next door and met us with keys and was really helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Fantastic location right in the centre of Ortigia a few steps from the Cathedral. Everything in walking distance, and we could keep our car in an underground garage a few minutes walk from the apartment. Would love to stay here again.

The room was spacious and super clean, with fully equipped kitchen. The host gave us a big basket of fruit and snacks, plus a bottle of wine. Servce is excellent! Just 2 or 3 minutes walk to Siracuse Duomo.

Alagona House is a beautifully updated apartment in a fantastic location in Siracusa/Ortigia. We loved the neighborhood and the street. You can easily walk everywhere. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable - great light, with high ceilings and upscale finishes. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, sink and cooktop - with glasses, plates, utensils, etc. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room/sitting area. Functional and beautiful space. Grazia is the perfect host. Excellent communication the whole time. She met us with the keys and shared helpful information. We also enjoyed the welcome basket with snacks and wine/beverages that Grazia left for us. Please note that there is no elevator. But it is easy to access up a few flights of wide stairs.

This appartment is exceptional and probably the best we ever had in Italy. Located in the middle of Ortigia in an old palazzo building. This apartment is spacious and nicely furnished. There is a stylish bedroom, a living room with dining area, sofa and sofa bed and an anteroom with a small practical kitchen. Thank you for free water, coffee pads and some sweets. There is also a nice bathroom. We did not miss anything. Check-in was easy as Grazia was waiting for us at the entrance. Check-out was very easy, we just left the keys. Our host residents lived next door but we had full privacy.

For us it was a perfect appartment. People should know though that private parking in Ortigia needs permission. We parked outside the island in Syrakus and it was a nice 5min walk, then.
