DIMORA CECILIA, nel cuore della città

Very charming, cosy apartment in the city center of Vicenza. We had some question before arrival, communication was swift and helpful. We asked for an extra bed for our eight month daughter, and we were provided not just the bed but also duvet. Catherina was waiting for us when we arrived, explained us everything and gave some tips about the city, restaurants etc. The apartment is right in the city center, but you do not have to worry if you come by car, because it is just on the very edge of the zona traffico limitato (ZTL, a restricted area usually in the city center of Italian towns where only local residents could enter). You can also have a garage (10 euros per night), which is just next to the entrance of the building and really-really huge, even by European standards (I mean parking lost tend to be narrow in Italy). The apartment is on the first floor, there is no elevator and the stairs are a little bit steep, but we managed it even with our baby. It is completely refurbished, brand new and more beautiful than we imagined and expected. It is also very practical. There is a relatively american living room, the kitchen is relatively small but well-equipped. The bathroom is really charming with its blue interior and you can also use the washing machine if necessary. But what we like the most is the location. You step out from the building into a small, quiet, narrow stradella. But a few minutes walk, and you will find yourself in the Piazza dei Signori! We will definitely come back to Vicenza and if possible, stay at the Dimora Cecilia.

Charming building right on the edge of the centre so very convenient location to explore the city. Great that it has secure, covered parking.

Dated apartment in need of refurbishment, especially bathroom. Loose sockets and cables. Towels smelt of cigarettes. Lingering smell in clothes after we left.

The breakfast was not included in the stay. However, there were many useful things for our breakfast: coffee, tea, salt, pepper and others. the host was very kind and welcoming

the tab in the bathroom should be soon replaced as well as the shower head.

fabulous location and extremely well equipped with everything you need for your stay, juice, coffee, teas, maps and information on the local area. The owner was lovely and spent time sharing restaurant/supermarket recommendations which were very much appreciated.

The sofa bed mattress was quite thin, daughter was a little uncomfortable.

It felt like home! A spacious and very comfortable apartment that is in the very center of Vicenza. It is five minutes walk from the local Meta grocery store and about the same distance to the major civic buildings and important villas designed by Palladio. Both Valmarana ai Nani and Le Rotonda were an easy 20 to 30 minute walk. We also easily drove to visit Villa's Emo and Barbaro. All the important museums and churches in Vicenza were easily walkable. The same for restaurants. The property is on a quiet side street easily accessible by car. Cooking and preparing food in the apartment could not have been easier and we luxuriated in this spacious property! A very enjoyable property for us as a couple!
