La casa dei Fiori

This was a last minute booking due to a flight change and we were happy to find something. Okay for that, but we wouldn't have wanted to stay longer and the price was high for what it was; on a previous visit to Trapani we stayed in Albergo Maccotta (not available last minute) which was nicer, in a better location and cheaper. The host was nice though.

Describing this as a 'one-bed apartment' is stretching it a bit - it's a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. We thought it was a bit claustrophobic (being quite a small room) and while the location is not far from the centre, the immediate surroundings seem to be mostly dilapidated and empty buildings. There is no alternative means of escape if there were to be a fire - access is via a narrow staircase. The shower leaked quite badly.
