Aside from the noise, the apartment is a great base to stay and explore Lecce and the surrounding coast. Check-in was easy to coordinate, the apartment was well-equipped, and the host is friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, it was much too noisy for us. It wasn’t clear prior to booking that there is a rooftop club across from the apartment - and the bedroom is actually on that street side. DJs and live bands play outside, so the sound really carries into the apartment. We learned that this club only recently opened, so it now makes sense that only a few reviews mention it. In late June, the music went until midnight (Thursday - Saturday), but unsure if this stays the same all season. The host provided earplugs, but sadly this didn’t make it quiet enough. It is a shame the host has to deal with this new issue, but visitors should be made aware of it in case they value a quieter stay.

Location is ideal, on the edge of Piazza Oronzo, which is surrounded by bars and restaurants and within easy walking distance from historic sites like the Duomo, the Roman Amphitheatre, museums and so on. A large supermarket is a 10-minute walk away. The apartment was sparkling clean, with a modern, well-equipped kitchen, updated bathroom with a good-sized shower, and reliable and fast internet. Overall, it showed real pride of ownership, kept as if the owners lived there.

We had a very pleasant stay and don't have any complaints.

The place is located very close to a club so it was near impossible to sleep at night (extremely loud music up to 2am every night). Noise early in the morning too (large glass recycling bins emptied at 5am). As guests we were expected to adhere to a complex recycling regime, but we weren't provided with all the relevant types of containers or bin liners to be able to follow.
