Annina's House Varenna Historic Centre

Maria and Pietro met us at the Plazza as we arrived by taxi and escorted us to Annina’s House which was a great help as it is not easy finding your way thru the many little vias and steps The accommodation is decorated in traditional Italian and is well appointed with all you need for a short stay holiday We spent six wonderful nights The studio is centrally located and at mid level so stair climbing is minimised .

Location was excellent. The place was clean with modern amenities, and was nicely decorated. Owners meet us at the train station and were very helpful in orienting to Varenna.

Everything was great!

Lovely hosts who kindly picked me up from the train station. A very cute traditional apartment in the historic part of Varenna with everything you need.

A little bit dark inside and always lots of people going past outside/taking photos but those are only small things.

Location was spot-on, just a few steps down to the lake, close to shops, bars and excellent restaurants, right in the centre of town. The ferry to Bellagio, Menaggio, and the rest of the lake was just a short walk away too. The apartment was small but had everything we needed for our weeks break, and it was lovely to sit out on the little balcony to eat, drink, and watch the world go by. The host, Maria, was super friendly and gave us lots of local information.

The only thing! It would have been nice to have a sofa in the apartment, but that is all !

Maria and Pietro welcomed us at the Train Station, and drove us to the property. They are wonderful warm hosts that were a delight to meet.

This was a wonderful place to stay for our three nights in Varenna! Our lovely hosts, Maria and Pietro, met us at the station and gave us a ride to the apartment, which was furnished with binders of suggestions for our time on Lake Como. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and centrally located (do be aware that there is no other staff or mid-stay cleaning/towel swap). No AC, but it was very cool at night and there was a powerful fan.

Our hot water went out in the middle of our stay -- I texted Maria, and Pietro arrived to fix it 20 minutes later, so no problem. It turned out to be a blockage that was easily fixed by pressing a button in the unit above the kitchen sink.
