Casa Veranda

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, which left a good first impression and we liked the location.

Overall we were quite disappointed with our stay, as the price-performance ratio did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, several negative aspects affected our experience: there was visible mold on the ceiling of the very small shower, and brownish stains on the outside, which gave an unhygienic impression. Also dust webs behind the curtains. The apartment lacked opaque curtains. The beds were very basic and not particularly comfortable, and the small balcony was not inviting for relaxation due to its neglected condition and no Balcony awning.

The location was perfect.

The shower leaked quite a lot.

If you are thinking about booking this property just do it!!! You won’t regret that you did. Property is close to everything, restaurants, water ferries and shops. I was checked in by Lorena and she was wonderful by meeting us in the town square and showing us where everything was. Be aware that there are a lot of steps all around so pack light if you can. Overall this apartment and the views from the apartment is a once in a lifetime view. Book it now!!!!! ☺️

Shower was a little small but overall good

Great location with spectacular view of Lake Como. Simply furnished, very clean and comfortable. Well-equipped kitchen, and very nice to have the use of a washing machine. Lorena is an excellent host and arranged transportation for us from the train station to the main square, as well as making dinner reservations. Lovely experience!

The location was amazing, right on the lake & close to everything. Our host picked us up at the train station which was very convenient & brought us back at the end of our stay. We would recommend Casa Veranda to any of our friends & family visiting Lake Como

The view and location were spectacular. Alberto our host was very very hospitable and picked us up from the train station in pouring rain. Ferry transport is very reliable. Bar Molo is great for lunch and dinner as well as Albergo del Sole for great pizza.

If you don’t like stairs, beware, there are lots of them! Pack light. Had some issues with adapters not fitting in bedroom power plugs (old plugs). Taxis are very unreliable on Varenna.
