Il covo di Gio' apartament

The apartment is in a nice, quiet residential area a few minutes drive from Modena City Center. We had a rental car which made it so easy to get around AND the apartment has a very nice and secure garage space. We did not use any city transit, such as the bus or taxi. You can walk to a grocery store nearby. Several restaurants are within walking distance. We would drive to the car museums, factories, Parmesan cheese farm, etc. We parked the car and took a cheap train ride to Bologna one day. The apartment is very well stocked. They even had coffee pods, sugar, a great selection of spices, etc. We cooked breakfast every day and made dinner there one night. Highly recommend, especially if you have a car. We parked our car just outside the center city on the street in the "paid parking area"(using a parking meter on the street to pay) and walked into the city center. There are several parking areas around the city center, we liked that one the best. There is no parking in the actual city center without a permit. The bed was extremely comfortable. They have a nice smart TV with Netflix. The garden area was very nice, but we did not use it much. The bathrooms are large and up to date. We would definitely stay there again! The hosts responded quickly to any questions. The hosts took such care to make sure you had everything you need. The had several toiletries available, plenty of towels, disposable house shoes, disposable face masks, hand sanitizer, laundry detergent, paper towels, tourist information, etc. We felt very "Welcomed".

The location. It would be fine if you had a car and wanted to drive in and out of town. There seemed to be no restaurants nearby and poor shopping facilities. The local taxi service radio taxis were excellent though. We spent approximately 70 € a day on taxis. We did look into the buses online - the last bus back from town was at 1950. If you wanted to walk, it was about 40 minutes. We are hillwalkers, so did try this but we ended up going through some not very nice areas which didn’t feel particularly safe.

This apartment was better than i thought. Provided stuff more than i anticipated. Lots of towels, coffee, even tooth brushes and body wash for kids. They thoughtfully considered every detail !
