Where do we start? From Marjan’s friendly welcome to her farewell we felt right at home. She could not have done more to make our stay in her beloved Ferrara more comfortable. Her thoroughly organised introduction to the apartment and the town was the most helpful and exhaustive we have ever experienced. We especially welcomed the fly screens neatly stopping anymore insect nightly visits. Air con in both rooms were a real bonus. The apartment exceeded our expectations and we were able to explore the city right from the start with all the info at our fingertips. The location was terrific in that we were within easy walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The kitchen was fully equipped but we decided to eat out all three nights to enjoy the Italian cuisine - which was plentiful and varied. For such a central location it was surprisingly quiet too. Would stay here if back in Ferrara, no question.

Trying hard to think of a negative but can’t, sorry…

La posizione vicinissima al centro ci ha permesso di visitare Ferrara senza dovere prendere l'auto. Ci sono dei parcheggi grandi a 5-10 minuti a piedi dalla casa. Avere a disposizione le biciclette ci ha permesso di fare il giro delle mura, che consigliamo vivamente. La casa è organizzata con cura e precisione, la cucina è ben attrezzata e siamo stati accolti con un gradito cesto di benvenuto. Marjan ci ha accolto con grande cordialità e dato consigli sulla visita.

A noi è piaciuto tutto, l'unica segnalazione per chi ha importanti difficoltà motorie, per accedere all'appartamento c'è una rampa di scale (un piano)

Clean, comfortable and well equipped!!

We loved the apartment which is immaculate and located only minutes from the historic centre of Ferrara but totally calm once you enter the quiet side road leading to the apartment. The host couldn’t have been more helpful and has such detailed knowledge about Ferrara we found it hard to fill everything into the short time we had - all the more a reason to return - so thank you Marjan!

Everything’s was quite perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at La Scarana. The accommodation had everything we needed and was perfectly positioned. The apartment was immaculately clean. Breakfast provided. Marjan our host was so attentive providing advice on local events and activities and was always available to help out. We would highly recommend to, anyone wishing to visit Ferrara.

Well thought out apartment in an excellent location. Surrounded by good bars, cafes, pizzeria, and only minutes from the iconic castle - we couldn't have asked for more. Our host, Marjan was extremely helpful in advance of our arrival and during our stay in providing local information about venues, attractions and events. We'll return for sure.
