"Come una Volta" Charme&Relax in citta' alta

Everything was perfect - the hosts Nadia and Valeria made sure we had a safe arrival and felt welcome. And the apartment? Clean, spacious, equipped with everything you need + a little welcome supply of coffee capsules, tea, wine and biscuits....and situated in the very center of Citta Alta, right next to Funicolare, yet calm. And just beneath a little supermarket that offers high end local produce of buffala mozzarella, prosciutto and the such. Gem: The Nonna Alda restaurant, man, that was good food! Only place to get delicious homemade bread. I stayed here for a week, with my 21 year old daughter and my teenage son and his girlfriend. We went to lake Como and Iseo from here, hiked at the waterfalls of Val Vertova and drove to Crema and other destinations from the movie Call me by your name. Everywhere we went we enjoyed the beauty of Lombardy and the friendliness of people. So many tourists at this time of the year, yet so kind! We were happy to have a car to take on those trips, since public transportation couldn't have taken us to the bathing spots and cmbyn destinations, but the kids went to Milan by train and that worked out smoothly. Come visit Bergamo, in Citta Alta there is beauty everywhere!

I would have preferred a non transparent curtain in the bathroom - there are neighbours right across the little inner yard and it didn't feel nice showering without that kind of privacy. The sleeping room door next to the bathroom should also have a non transparent door to ensure privacy, but since being a family, we were not bothered by that. Minor details that don't take away the feeling of having stayed in an exceptionally nice apartment at the perfect location with the most attentive and responsive hosts!

Wonderful location, yards from the Funicolare in the Citta Alta close to cafes, restaurants shops and the historic sights. Spacious flat on the second floor (reached by stone stairs and walkway around inner courtyard). Comfortable and well equipped, good quaity bed linen.

The stairs could be a problem for anyone with poor mobility.

Excellent location, right beside the Funicolare and the Mini market. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars within walking distance.

It is very clean, it has everything you need in terms of facilities and it is extremely well located inside the Citta Alta, just near the funicular station up in the city.

Fantastic location, easy to check in and out and much bigger than it looked in the photos! Very comfortable, spacious apartment and perfect for our stay in Bergamo. Hosts were lovely and very helpful, always available to answer questions. Would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in the area!

Only small issue was the bed in the master bedroom - the two mattresses kept moving apart during the night and my partner and I would find ourselves waking up during the night because one or both of us had fallen into the gap. Could probably be fixed with a more secure mattress cover that keeps them closer together.

Fantastic apartment, very friendly and responsive host, located in the center of old town - just amazing for visiting Bergamo.
