Being met at the property by Pier & Anto was wonderful! Our flight was early and we sent a message from our taxi and were met outside the apartment. Exceptional service!

We liked everything about this property. The style, the comfort, the beautiful garden, the location, the recommendations and most of all the lovely hosts. They go and above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay, which we did. I was celebrating a big birthday and staying here made it so special.

It is a great, very comfortable and tastefully organized apartment. The location is very good, very close to the center, and still it is very quiet and even has a small garden to relax in. The owners Pier and Anto are very nice, gave very good suggestions for restaurants etc, and also were very happy to help out with organizing taxi transport and other practical issues. A true gem that we will definitely revisit if we visit Bologna again!

Simply an incredible apartment! Probably one of the best places we have ever stayed. Everything here is beautiful, down to the smallest detail. Extremely clean and cozy! Every interior detail has been chosen with taste and love for design. It was also incredibly meaningful to feel that the hosts trusted us to stay among such beautiful things. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking, including spices, oil, coffee, tea, and snacks. Pier and Anto took care of so many little details, such as tissues, paper towels, various shower essentials, slippers, and much more. The vinyl record and CD player definitely add a special charm to the apartment 🤌🏼 And the cherry on top is the beautiful garden, where you can sit with a cup of coffee or a book. There is also an enclosed balcony with panoramic windows, where we had breakfast overlooking the garden. The apartment is located on the ground floor in a fairly quiet area. There are grocery stores nearby, and the city center is only a 7–10 minute leisurely walk away. It was incredibly lovely to meet the hosts in person. By the way, they turned out to be the sweetest people and very interesting to talk to. We were absolutely delighted with our stay, both in this apartment and in Bologna in general. If we ever come back, we will definitely stay there again and will also recommend it to all our friends! Absolutely nothing!

The apartment is located on the main thoroughfare right in the heart of old Bologna. Perfect! We wanted for absolutely nothing - our hosts attention to detail is very special. The hosts are truly wonderful. They were attentive and supportive without being intrusive. Brilliant! Bologna is a fabulous city and every bit as wonderful as its better known neighbour, Florence. The porticos are lovely.

Nothing to dislike.

A beautifully charming apartment in Bologna with a lovely little garden corner that made our stay truly special. Pier and Anton showed exceptional hospitality, welcoming us and saying goodbye in person. The flat is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you might need. We also received excellent recommendations for local restaurants. Highly recommended!

We had the most wonderful stay in this exceptional apartment. We felt very lucky to have found such a perfect place to stay in Bologna. Grazie Mille to our lovely hosts who gave us some excellent recommendations of restaurants, museums and art galleries !

It was all absolutely perfect !

The Secret Garden is a fantastic place to stay. The ground floor apartment is quite small but beautifully designed, elegant, tasteful, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything is provided and there are many extra touches, for example, a stereo system with a selection of vinyl and cassettes. There is also a covered sitting out area and a small verdant garden. It has been lovingly restored by its owners, who are charming and extremely helpful. We faced a significant challenge in getting to the airport after it was suddenly changed owing to a general strike in Bologna, and they organised a taxi for us to Forli airport some 60km away. The apartment is located on a busy road (Strada Maggiore) but is extremely quiet since it is at the rear of the building. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, and it is a short stroll away from the city centre. We really loved the place and can not recommend it too highly. Our best tip for eating out is Sfoglia Rina on Via Castiglione, a fifteen minute walk from the Secret garden. Our best tip for culture is MAMbo, the modern art museum in the city centre which is well worth a visit.
