There is a good amount of space in the unit and the kitchen is pretty well equipped.

Do not stay here!! It is entirely unwelcoming, from the exceptionally transactional nature of the communication (I still do not even know their name), to the fact that you cannot get the code for the keys until you are there, and the smell in the lobby, the dangerous step in the bathroom, the black mold in the shower, and the rock hard bed in the smaller room. Add that on to the noisy streets all some the building even with the windows closed, the lack of screens on all but one window even though it is advertised as having mosquito nets, and the fact that the air conditioning remotes were not in the unit the first night, and then only one worked after they were provided in the afternoon the next day. No compensation was offered, and all in all, it was not a good experience. Do not do it!! Completely not worth the money.

The owner agreed to send the code before 10am as no access to WhatsApp after that. She didn’t send code, took over an hour after arriving to get code, tried 3 phone numbers none worked, was very worried.

The apartment is nicely located, about 10mins easy walk from the leaning tower. There is also a bus stop just opposite, where you can catch a bus to the train station or into town. The tickets are Euro 1.50 each and available at the Tabbachi about 5 mins walk away. The apartment is typically appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Please don't be too distracted by my other comments on how they could improve things, we had a very nice stay.

Getting the key was a bit of a faff. Make sure your phone works there, because the code for the key safe at the front gate is sent via whatsapp on the day you arrive. I suppose it could be text or e-mailed too but you will need some way to communicate. The downstairs entrance hall smells a bit but you can't smell it on the first floor where the apartment is. Would have benefitted from a small microwave but the kitchen is quite small, so in it's current layout it might not be easy to fit in. Perhaps they could put one in the dining room? Apartment caters for 6 (3 double beds) but there were only 5 plates and 4 bowls. However, we did find more bowls hidden under the towels in the dining room at the end of our stay. The bathroom door is opaque glass to allow light in the hallway, which can make you a bit self conscious when sharing. Perhaps a curtain you could pull across to offer a little more privacy would be nice. Some information would be useful, maybe a bus timetable, tourist information map of Pisa, location of tabbachi etc. There is a dishwasher but no dishwasher tablets to run it. One tablet for each stay of the holiday would have been nice. There is no kettle, so if you want tea you have to boil it in a saucepan. This is not a problem but for convenience it would have been nice to have one, either electric or one that goes on the gas hob. Finally, a small bottle of olive oil and a bottle of milk would have been a nice touch for a minimal outlay.

Apartment was very spacious. The interior decoration was pretty cool. Around 15 mins walk to the tower.

Bathroom door knobs gets stuck from the inside - an obvious problem that the host failed to fix. The garbage cans in the kitchen were not clean. It was impossible to speak with the host over phone, and also the host was pretty slow to respond to messages. It was hard to organize check-out arrangements with the host as well.
