Sant'Agostino Loft

Great location to see all of the Catania sites. The apartment had everything we needed and was close to a nice cafe called LA off the main street where you could get a nice coffee or some food and drink. Even had a washer which seems very hard to find in a vacation rental in Sicily. Also was very nice to have a working AC during a very hot and humid week in Catania. The host Marika was fantastic, very responsive and helpful and made arrangements for us to have a parking space.

The only I didn't love was the tiny shower. The shower itself was fine, just very small.

Nothing! If you want city centre accommodation it’s perfect

we have stayed in many self catering apartments in our time but this was very special. There was everything you required, even a washing machine. the apartment looked nothing special on the outside but has a massive wow factor inside. the open plan worked well, the bed was the comfiest we have slept in. location was excellent right behind the ancient amphitheater and s short walk 10 mins to the Dumo square with the elephant Column and market area. loads of beautiful buildings to see a short walk in any direction. We used the local taxi service to take us to the train station and to the beach Lido Azzuro 15 euros to the station and 18 euros to the beach, 2 sun beds and an umbrella cost 25 euros for the day, there is a bus that can take you to the beach. we took a day trip to Syracuse, Ortigia and Noto well worth doing.

the only issue is the garages at the back of the property we’re used to lock up motorbikes/scooters. you hear them coming and going late at night and early morning, it didn’t bother us though.

The location was central and convenient for both the university and downtown. The neighborhood is a bit run down, but hey, this is Catania, what did you expect? Beverly Hills?

The parking was, well, tricky.

The apartment was very central and had a beautiful layout. the host provided coffee and bottled water for us and answered all our questions quickly and kindly. the balcony with a view of the coloseum was amazing to drink a glass of wine and enjoy the outdoor while still having the luxury of being in private.

The skylight above the bed was very bright in the morning--It would be nice to have a darker cover over the skylight above the bed.

Nothing. Everything was awesome

The loft is simply amazing! It has great, modern design, with all facilities needed. It's spotless clean, cozy and comfy and has perfect location in the heart of the old town, with a beautiful view to the Ancient theater. Marika is a wonderful host! She thought of every little detail to make it feel like home and helped us in every way. We loved everything about the place!
