Convenient location

We stayed here previously and had an ok stay, and reason for coming back was simply the convenience of location. This year we had an awful experience and we will not stay again. One morning at 8.30 one of the neighbours knocked on our door aggressively, demanding we open the door. She accused my family and children of making excessive noise in the middle of the night and early in the morning - this wasn’t true, as our children were asleep at 8.30 in the evening and didn’t wake up until 7.30 in the morning. I was also woken up by noise in the building and tried to tell this person it wasn’t us but she wouldn’t listen. When I informed the owner of the apartment about what happened she messaged to say her neighbour was going to call the police if we made noise again, completely ignoring and disregarding my message to say this wasn’t the case and that the noise didn’t come from our apartment. She was incredibly rude and even laughed using lots of (😂😂😂) when I said I could hear people walking upstairs in heels, and she replied the person upstairs is 80. Unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. This apartment is in an old building that has not been renovated, so noise carries across walls (expect noise from the tv and neighbours when you are in one of the bedrooms) and floors (from upstairs). The floor in the apartment is creaky so it is physically impossible to walk and make zero noise, as the floor is old and without insulation. This whole situation ruined our stay - we felt incredibly conscious about making zero noise as we were scared this person would come back and shout at us, and the owner of the apartment clearly demonstrated that all she is interested in is money. She even tried to make me feel guilty about fixing the broken window and buying toppers, when this is something she should simply do for her guests. (Before our stay, I had to ask the owner to fix the lock on the balcony, as you couldn’t lock it and it was a safety hazard.

Very nice luxury appartment, well equipped, great location near to the centre.

The location was super for accessing the city. The 10 bus is right outside the property and brings you down to the centre of Trieste, which is a beautiful city.
