Dimore Verona

Superb location in the centre of Verona, apartment located in an old building but reasonably appointed.

The apartment was advertised as having air-conditioning, however there was no remote controls for the two units. When we asked the agent to provide them, they advised that they were unable to do as they were with the maintenance person. Then they changed their story and said that due to a "municipal ordinance", that air-conditioning cannot be used before 1 June. They were dismissive of our query as to why the advert for the apartment was misleading as it clearly states that air-conditioning is provided, with no reference to any restriction of use. The agent blamed Booking.com for the misleading description. There was only one glass provided and when we asked the agent for some more, they said that the apartment inventory did not include wine glasses and that the wine glass in the apartment must have been left a previous guest. There were no large drinking glasses either, although a corkscrew/bottle opener was in the apartment. (Screen shots held of all agent comms) There were (literally) only a handful of clothes hangers provided, however after requesting more, the agent did provide some to us.

O apartamento era excelente, muito aconchegante, com espaço razoável para uma família e com muitas comodidades: lava-roupa, lava-louça, cozinha completa. Pegamos a chave a 10 minutos a pé do local do apartamento, então foi bem tranquilo. A localização também era excelente, perto do Castel Vecchio, com muitas de restaurantes, mercado, farmácia a pé.

O único ponto realmente ruim é o box do banheiro que além de pequeno, vaza água demais pela parte debaixo. Uma borracha na parte inferior do vidro do box do chuveiro e tudo se resolveria. Parece padrão italiano pois em outros locais também tive o mesmo problema.

The only objection is that the location shown on Booking is the location of the key collection, which is the real location of the apartment.So you only find out the real location of the apartment when you take the keys. This is the first time this has happened to me.

Uns wurde ein früheres Einchecken ermöglicht – das war sehr nett.

Lest aufmerksam das Kleingedruckte: Der auf der Karte angezeigte Ort stimmt nicht mit dem Ort der Unterkunft überein! Etwa 1,5 m vor dem Schlafzimmerfenster (Erdgeschoss, Innenhof) hat man die Tische eines gut besuchten Restaurants. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist mangelhaft. An einigen Stellen war es sauber, an anderen weniger. Bei Ankunft roch es aber sehr nach Putzmittel. Unser Gefühl war: Es war einfach eine leer geräumte Wohnung, die vorher mit gleicher Einrichtung längere Zeit regulär bewohnt war.

Posizione comoda. Casa ben tenuta.

Shower not so clean

Edificio molto bello e non lontano dal centro.

Avevamo scelto le Dimore Verona perché davano il pass del parcheggio per le striscie blu. Quello che non ci hanno detto è che nella zona dell'appartamento ci sono praticamente solo strisce blu/gialle, che sono per i residenti. I due o tre parcheggi blu nelle vicinanze erano sempre occupati. Alla fine abbiamo lasciato la macchina in un parcheggio coperto a pagamento a 800m di distanza perché era impossibile parcheggiare. Di per sé non è un problema, però è molto deludente se qualcuno sceglie l'appartamento proprio per la facilitazione del parcheggio e finisce per pagare di più che in un altro posto per il parcheggio inizialmente non calcolato (carissimo a Verona per 5 giorni e 4 notti). Il check in si fa in un ufficio separato dall'appartamento e abbastanza scomodo a causa del ZTL. Tra una cosa e l'altra abbiamo perso due ore e mezza per parcheggiare per fare il check in nell'ufficio, fare il check in, andare all'appartamento in macchina e cercare parcheggio senza successo (vedi sopra). Un check in remoto come in molti altri posti simili sarebbe molto più comodo in questo caso. Per due persone e quattro notti, c'erano solo due rotoli di carta igienica finissima e due campioncini piccoli di bagnoschiuma. Meglio venire preparati!
