HAPPY HOUSE Salento Apartment

Host is exceptionally attentive, caring and knowledgeable. We were made to feel very welcome and he even arranged for some food for us to have when we arrived and some sweets for kids when we were leaving. Flat itself very spacious with plenty of sleeping space, nice kitchen and great location, not far from the centre.

The location was great but be aware there is a flight of fairly steep steps up to the apartment but our host helped us with our bags. The apartment was spacious and had all we required. Our host was very informative about what to see, great recommendations for restaurants and cafes. Tips for the ferry across the harbour and if something interesting was on he would msg us. He even set the radio up so we could listen to our favourite radio station at home. We saw an international fashion show. Very impressive. Brindisi is easy to walk around. The SAIS bus leaves from the cemetery which is a little way from the city centre. We flew into Brindisi and the bus from the airport is a good service which goes regularly and drops you off at the railway station for a few €’s

The host was very welcoming. When we arrived, the apartment wasn't ready yet, but we were able to leave our bags. When we returned, the owner provided us with valuable tips on what to do and see in the city during our short stay, and he even recommended a few places where to eat. He even left some cold water and juices in the fridge for us. The apartment was very clean with huge rooms, air conditioning. The kitchen is well-equipped if we wanted to use it and had a big fridge outside on the terrace. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The bedroom lights were perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere.

Too many stairs leading to the flat so it's not suitable for those with mobility issues. Additionally, accessing the shower can be a bit challenging because you need to pass between the toilet and the wall.

Great apartment excellent location, friendly host who was available all the time

Super owner welcomed us with focaccia for dinner first day and Czech radio played in the room ,), he did wait for us till midnight and accepted late check in. Suprised us again with fresh croissant for breakfast on the last day and gingerbread for kids. Stefano is very helpful, he shared lot of local tips. Flat is in quiet location but close to train station, bus station to beach and town centre to walk. AC and wifi working well, double bed comfy.

Great location, 5 minutes walk through beautiful narrow basalt cobbled streets to centre of Brindisi. Spacious apartment with 5meter ceilings, first floor, windows open onto quiet street. Firm comfortable bed, 3 large wardrobes, 2 large comfortable couches/sofa bed, large TV with entertainment system, original kitchen with equipment to make a full meal, kettle, toaster, juicer, washing machine, large fridge with freezer compartment etc, small bathroom and lots of things that make this place homely and authentic Italian. Absolutely wonderful host, sends information in advance of stay and very passionate about Brindisi and sharing this wonderful city with guests, gave us lots of valuable information on what to visit, where to eat/drink etc… We’ve travelled Italy for a month and definitely the most engaging host we’ve met. We were able to checkin early, communication with host in English was very clear and directions on where to park. You cannot park on the street the apartment is on, but you can drive down the street to drop/collect luggage. Lots of parking on other streets in the immediate area, we had no problem parking, white lines are free, blue you pay and I think yellow are for residents only.
