Casa Colonia - Together in Tuscany

Well thought out on what a traveler would need and find comfortable. Positioned excellent to reach parking, market, and the best of beutiful Cortona.

Location is briliant, right in the charming streets of a small town with medieval atmosphere. Fully equipped kitchen.

I think.check-in could be better organised, receiving dozens of messages before our arrival was too.much. Still it was a challenge to find parking and move in.

Excellent location just inside the gate with free parking just outside the gate, albeit very limited parking. Very close to grocery market. Fairly level walk into town center. Clean, modern bathroom with great shower and plenty of hot water. Half bath downstairs was a plus.

Limited lighting, and the main floor lamp in the living space did not work. Mini-kitchen was very small with limited counter space and cabinet space. No microwave - would have been very useful. Washer was very difficult to access, but at least it was there.

Very personable friendly workers (albeit working in a poorly managed system) in their Cortona town centre office. Bottle of olive oil for cooking was present. Unfortunately the strong points end there.

We waited over a week so that this would be polite. The organization running these units is totally Inept. Bloated bureaucracy, no ability to figure out who is in their rooms when,  a sweaty foam mattress as sold on Amazon ( our weather was cool) and most of all, poor Management and Training of employees. Two examples only:  (i) Online checkin ( “ for your convenience “ like airline baggage fees) required. Everywhere in Italy needs a photo of your passport--normal. Here, they want 3 photos including a selfie holding the passport, your home address, city of birth, lots of other info uploaded. Probably identifying birthmarks...I forget! Be prepared to spend 30 minutes of vacation time doing their work for them. (Ii) You may get unexpected company--we did. At 2100, the front door opens and two unknown guests walk in, with a key, having been sent by Management.  Awkward all around. Potentially dangerous. Multiple other examples exist but space is limited--they really need to do some work!

Located moments away from a car park (which you have to pay for) but there is also a free car park but you are very lucky to get a space. The property is located in the historical centre so it is great for the restaurants and cafes but can be noisy. Everything works inside the property, it is clean and comfortable for 2 people. It is great they can accommodate dogs.

The listing says it has air conditioning, which it does, however I was told that they do not allow the air conditioning on until mid June so removed the remote control - I think then that they should say that on booking.com as we would not have booked it. It seemed like they said that because we left on 7th June 2024. On one day the temperature got to 30C (86F) and it was too much for me I opened the windows but there are no fly screens so the place filled up with insects. The property has windows on both sides and is very overlooked so the owners have put up blinds in the window against the glass and then a second set of blinds on the wall covering the window opening. It all feels like you are behind bars and there are absolutely no views of anything!! It would have been much better to use Venetian blinds which can be angled rather than the effect they have created which is to blank the windows out completely. Having said all of that we enjoyed our stay but would look elsewhere next time.

Well designed small apartment with all you need for a stay in Cortona. Peaceful but close to all amenities. Parking two steps away. Nice spacious bedroom and bathroom. Highly recommended.

Together in Tuscany is actually in the tourism information center, it's then very easy to get in touch with the hosts and to find them if needed. The house was very clean, comfortable and located inside the walls of Cortona, close to a free parking (and closer to a paid parking). WiFi much appreaciated: extremely hard to get any signal when you're inside a building/house in Cortona.

Close to the Colonia gate, so you can hear the cars in the evening and morning (but nothing unbearable)

Location was excellent, close enough to the main areas and yet quiet enough. The kitchen was so well fitted out.

Not happy with the couch, unfortunately not that comfortable and the seat cushion, kept on slipping out
