Borgo Caiar

Eine sehr freundliche Gastgerberin. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön landestypisch renoviert und hat keinen Wunsch offen gelassen. Der Pool war wunderbar und durch die wenigen Nutzer purer Luxus. Es war wie Leben in einer kleinen italienischen Gemeinschaft. Abseits des Massen-Tourismus. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

The photos on booking.com suggest that it is a traditional, properly renovated villa with nice surroundings, a pool and garden. On the contrary, we found an old house without renovation next to a messy parking place without a garden, without a view and without a pool. All the nice photos and facilities belong to the owner’s other property, a Bed & Breakfast called Corte Caiar. Borgo Caiar visitors can walk up the street and use the pool of Corte Caiar, however, the two properties are totally different, and they are not even at the same street and not on the same site. It was not cleaned properly, we found spider web everywhere, we even found a 6cm long scorpio inside the apartment. I truly believe that regular cleaning prevents the apartment from all these staff. The sponge in the kitchen was dirty and used, which is not appropriate after 2 years of pandemic. The shower was broken and turned yellow because of limescale, we couldn’t even close the door of the shower. 3 out of 4 mattresses were uncomfortable and impossible to sleep on them. There were no mosquito nets on the windows, however the place was full of mosquitos because of the messy and untidy vegetation next to the apartment. We left after the first night, adapted to the circumstances and searched for a convenient apartment by the lake. We also made a complaint, but we had no refund or compensation. I believe that misleading a customer should have consequences, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
