Casa da Giacomo (barocco)

Spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a very warm and friendly reception by the owner. The apartment is also just a short walk from the historic centre of Lecce. Grazie mille Giacomo!

Nothing to say - the apartment is lovely.

The apartment is very spacious especially with the vaulted ceiling. It felt super secure and the area was quiet and safe and a pleasant walk after dinner. It was the perfect length of time to finish an ice cream cone from the Roman theatre until you turn into the street of the apartment. The lovely owner was so communicative before, during and after my stay. I highly recommend.

Only that I couldn’t see the sky to tell the weather but you can still open the windows for an idea. Just a minor thing to be aware of.

Giacomo is a very nice host! Always on time, with a gift of really nice Italian pastries, a bottle of water ready at arrival and he even drove me to the train station the morning I left!

Located near one of the gates to the historical city centre, and in walking distance to the train station, this is a clean, quiet, and comfortable place, including a well-equipped kitchen (as well as a beautiful ceiling), run by a friendly host. Overall, a good (if slightly overpriced) accommodation.

Several small things did not work entirely smoothly: 1) I communicated my time of arrival several times (without change actually), only to be asked to reconfirm very shortly before arrival; then my final message somehow did not get through, so in the end I had to call the owner and wait for about half an hour; 2) at one point, the key card did not work anymore, so I had to call the owner and wait again; 3) the WiFi password contained a mistake, but the owner simply told me to retry rather than checking for a mistake himself, before finally resolving the problem (which then turned out to be his mistake) in the evening of the second day. Small things, to be sure, and perhaps simply bad luck, but I repeatedly lost time that I would have loved to spend otherwise.

Giacomo has been a fantastic host. I arrived after lunch and he had prepared a crostata for snack, as well as a cold bottle of water! The apartment is newly renovated and it has all you need. It's better than what you can see in the photos. Extra credits for the air con that was completely silent! The bed is very comfortable and the shower very relaxing. The flat is close to centro storico and it's easily accessible from the train station. I had an amazing stay. I would definitely come back! Highly recommended if the goal is to relax and have a good time.
