Galatea House

We enjoyed our stay very much in this new and spacious house, featuring beautiful sea views from the windows and the panoramic terrace. The beach with clear, calm water is just a 5-minute walk away, making it perfect for a beach holiday/break. The archaeological site is also within walking distance. The owner was very welcoming and made us feel at home.

Casa nuovissima dotata di ogni comfort ! Posizione centralissima sia per la passeggiata serale sia per raggiungere la spiaggia dell'acropoli. La presenza dei 3 servizi igienici, uno per ogni piano, ha reso la convivenza di due famiglie gestibilissima. La terrazza il top!

The house was clean, nice terrace with see view, very good comunication with the housekeeper, the beach is just 10 mnts by walk.

We stayed in the house for 6 nights as a family of 4 (but it could easily accommodate more). Was one of the best holiday rentals we’ve ever had (and we travel a lot!). The place was immaculate, well furnished, spacious with effective air conditioning in every space (which in August is pretty essential). The location is great with cool bars and restaurants on the doorstep and a choice of beaches within 5-10 minutes. Overall we booked the house for the roof terrace and we loved spending time up there at all times of day or night with the incredible views. Our host Francesco was extremely helpful, responsive and flexible.

Amazing terrace and windows underline the Great location in front of the sea. Apt very well furnished with several utensils. Great host, very nice and easily reachable.

Everything was goo. Few suggestions are: Protection against mosquitoes on the windows might be useful. And maybe a few moresmall tables or chairs for clothes and other staff near the bedrooms.

Very well placed, easy parking, great view, a lot of space, many towels, kitchen and terrace with sea view, even the terrace had a sun shade, we had a wonderful time! Thank you!

There was nothing, I missed.

This house is bright, attractive, modern and located in the older, more peaceful part of town. The views from the picture window in the kitchen and the roof terrace are absolutely beautiful - it was lovely to watch the sea change colour through the day. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and with plentiful hot water (which we did not find everywhere we stayed in Sicily). The bedrooms and kitchen/diner have air conditioning which also functions as heating so it’s possible to be comfortable no matter the time of year. Parking was easy - most of the time we were able to park just next to the house and when this wasn’t possible we easily found space on the next street. The sunny terrace was wonderful to sit out on, listening to the sea and the birds. There is a bar nearby that plays fairly loud music on some evenings (can be heard from the terrace but not in the house) however we found this added to a ‘buzzing’ atmosphere and it was nice to have a very good cocktail bar nearby! Lovely restaurants all within a very short walk, as is access to the beach. Francesco the owner is very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend the house and very much enjoyed our stay!
