Yagisawa Corp - Vacation STAY 90026v

The appartment was a very typical old japanese appartment and decorated nicely and comfortable. The Futons were of good quality and we slept really well. The Ac worked as well and tempersture inside was always comfortable.

So the appartment was clean in general, but there were cockroackes of different sizes on the floor and wall. Which really was unpleasant, we killed 3 but there were more and we just tried to ignore them. My friend is japanese and the owner talked like 30 minutes to him and did not let us go. We had plans to go to an onsen and we lost a good amount of time on a conversation which we did not wanted to have. He kept calling us Gaijin, which I did not know if he meant it in a negative way or not, but was still weird because we only heared the word negatively so far.

Dificult to find the place and also the one who gave the keys talked a lot and got involved with the family, even touching them.

The location was really accessible for someone who plans to arrive to Kinugawaonsen station by train. Very easy to walk to, and close to restaurants/shopping. There was also enough space for me and my family to sleep comfortably (two young children). Our host was also very gracious and made recommendations for where to eat and what to see while in Nikko.

The property needed to be cleaned better. It really needed to be vacuumed because there was hair everywhere from the previous guest (including in the refrigerator, somehow). Sanitary products from a previous guest had not been emptied from the bathroom trashcan. The property also smelled of cigarettes.
