Sorrento Comfort House con piscina

The location is quite good, a solid 20 minute walk to the old town. The apartment is across the road from the Hotel Gardenia who (I think) manage the apartment. The pool is very nice, lots of sun loungers, pool bar prices are fair. The apartment was very clean, washing machine is small but modern. Oven was modern and efficient Gas stove worked well. Bathroom is nice, shower had good water pressure. Drying rack is a clothesline from the conservatory deck. Front balcony is nice, narrow but long. Air-conditioning in both bedrooms.

The apartment marketing does not mention the railway line that runs right at the back of the apartment, trains run from 6am and despite double glazing and me being a heavy sleeper, ear plugs were needed. The main road is on the other side, so no quieter there!. No toaster, despite one being advertised. The air conditioning in the lounge is there but does not work. The shower is small, but I am 1.93m, so for those shorter it might be ok. While a personal issue, the beds are hard. Bedding is minimal, top sheet, no duvet one blanket. Pillows are firm to say the least. There are 3 bath towels, we were there for a week, no linen change, none in the apartment for us to change ourselves, no towel change. On check in we were told not to use apartment towels at the pool. At the pool we were told we could not have pool towels unless we paid EUR3. For certainly not a cheap apartment this is very very poor. More bedding needed, pool towels needed, better frying pans and pots, cheap quality in the apartment. Coffee maker is a stove top, no problem but it only is big enough for one cup. It is a 2 bed apartment, should either have more than one or a big coffee maker. No tv in the lounge, yet in photos it shows one.

The apartment was much more spacious than we imagined, very clean, bright, and well-equipped. Extremely comfortable beds. Only 15 minutes walk to the historic centre (or walk 15 minutes out of town for cheaper supermarkets etc.) Restaurants we recommend are Semola (excellent pasta), Blu Water (great salads) and The Orange Tree (fantastic Thai.) Good to have the washing machine and the ability to hang clothes outside. Pool area across road was very well run, quiet and clean. Read previous reviews about noise, there is traffic but close the windows and you hardly hear it. And the trains, they take two seconds to pass and don't run during the night, so no problem!

Nothing we didn't like, ticked all our boxes.

Apartment was clean and spacious with everything we needed to hand. The owner was there to meet us and the staff on reception were so very helpful.
