Materassi un po' duri

We stayed here one night, having stayed here once already on our trip. It remains an excellent choice. This time we booked a truffle hunt in the woods, which was great fun, and very informative for those into foods. Thanks to the lovely Ugo and Whisky!! We ate a fine dinner outside the on-site restaurant, with the beautiful Tuscan sunset.

We wanted somewhere pretty to stay on our first night, between Perugia Airport (1 1/2 hours' drive) and Siena (10-15 minutes), easy to get to from the highway. This was an excellent choice. Staff were very welcoming. Large, firm bed. View of countryside from window. Kitchenette, dining table and sofa for those staying longer. Ate Tuscan specialities at the excellent and popular on-site restaurant. (Recommend booking in advance - to eat anywhere else requires a car.) Ate breakfast outside our apartment by the woods. Woodland walks nearby. If looking for a base outside Siena, we would definitely consider this again.

Be aware: The track from the main road to the farm is a bit rough (drive slowly!) The steps up to the apartment are tricky with suitcases (ask the staff to help)

Sehr freundliches Personal und schmackhaftes Essen im Restaurant. Sehr ruhige und abgelegene Lage.

Die Preise sind für das Gebotene viel zu hoch. Die Preise im guten Restaurant total überteuert. Das Apartment ist relativ rudimentär. Was gar nicht geht - im Zimmer hinter einem Vorhang eine wahre Müllhalde! Das Wasser unter der Dusche war kalt. Das Frühstück ebenfalls den hohen Preis nicht entsprechend. Ein zweites Brötchen gab es z.B. auch nicht.
