Good location and easily accessible as it is on the first floor. Had washing machine and full kitchen as listed

1. Biggest issue we had was the bed - frame was loose and shaky, mattress was old, overused and uncomfortable - with two people on the bed, the mattress sinks in the middle, creating a valley. We had bad sleep for all nights we stayed. 2. Unpleasant dealing with owner - Note that you’ll need to pay 6000tenge extra for cleaning services which is not included in listed price. We made two separate bookings for the apartment as we decided to extend our stay in Almaty. Our stay was 7 days in total and halfway through, we asked owner to provide fresh towels and toiletries to which he claimed that the existing towels were sufficient and bluntly told us to buy our own toiletries because they were cheap. This was absolutely unreasonable considering that we had already paid upfront 2 x professional cleaning services. We did not even ask for the apartment to be cleaned during our stay. Only after calling the owner out, he then refunded us 1 x cleaning service fee, but only to put the blame on us that it was our responsibility to remind him earlier that we did not need to pay the additional cleaning fee. We found the owner’s communication rude and blunt; and we have never encountered a host as calculative and unpleasant as him.

This is my second visit to Kazakhstan. I also lived in this area before, but there was no room in the hotel I stayed in before, so I found this apartment. It was very good, very clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped, so it was convenient to make some food. There are several supermarkets around, so it's convenient to buy things. The host is very considerate, and the check-in process is clearly explained.

Because foreigners don't have local bank cards, it's a little troublesome to transfer the room fee, and it's a little hard for the host to come to pick up cash. It would be better if there was a way to do the best of both the two
