Kaunas Old Town apartment with underground parking

Spacious loft apartment with great views. Aircon in main room. Comfortable beds. Washing machine. Great location. Easy to find. Communicative and helpful staff. Clean. Quiet. Safe.

3rd floor apartment with no lift. Dangerous external steps. Bad pillows. Empty reed diffusers and random items left. Dirty rag and mop in bathroom. Towels left drying on airer in bedroom on arrival. Lack of general attention to detail and care.

Location great-very spacious apartment

Our host provided excellent communications with fast responses. The apartment is very close to the centre of the old town with easy walking access to lots of restaurants. Even the centre of the new town is only about 15 minutes walk away. The TV is large and has access to a number of English channels. The appliances are good quality with a very large refrigerator and freezer. The blinds in the bedroom are good blackout curtains. The Air conditioner copes well with high summer temperatures but took a while (5 hours) to bring the very hot apartment down to a comfortable temperature on arrival. The shower is a good size with excellent water pressure and hot water. The apartment and the bathroom are good sizes. The furniture and fittings are tastefully done and good quality. Although the parking is underground it is with a car lift which is inconvenient to use but there is good parking in the back yard. The parking is still secure with a remote controlled gate.

The apartment description should add that there is a compulsory gym stair master. The apartment is on the top floor so access is via four long flights of stairs. You will get a lot of exercise dragging luggage and yourselves up and down each day. As the apartment is a roof loft, head damage is guaranteed getting in and out of the bed and attempting to use the dining table. Still, there is plenty of room to relocate the dining table and chairs. The apartment can get very hot due to the skylights in summer but the A/C helps a lot! The blinds in the main lounge area are not blackout so in summer you need to close the bedroom door which negates the value of the A/C a bit. The microwave in the kitchen is located in a bottom cupboard which makes it difficult to use. The bathroom sink didn't have a working plug so shaving was a bit of an issue. The apartment also needs a desk near a power point as we had to use the dining table.

Good size, perfect location.

Not recommended for families with kids! Shelfs not drilled to the wall! Need to watch kids at all the time because of that. Very dirty. I had to clean floors on the day of arrival. My son dropped toy behind tv cabinet, so had to take it out, there was super dirty and some electronic cigarettes! Cabinet was broken. In laundry basket found VIAGRA table! Not much worried for my self, but because we was with little kids i was very upset about all this. Baby crib - broken! Not useable!

Eva is a great host. Flat is located exactly the heart of Kaunas, but All Kaunas is not big :)) Flat's also got carpark and its free...İf you want to see Zalgris Kaunas, best place to stay...Thanx EVA

there are 2 things i dont like, 1- Bathroom was plugged...you cant easily get a shower 2- there can be some insect screen, cause its really good to see outside from your window...we had to kepp the windows closed:( Apart from these, pleasant stay 9/10
