Old Riga Jekaba street Apartment

Beautifully remodeled and very spacious with nice amenities, within old Town and close to art nouveau district. Good coffee but no creamer. Comfortable bed and you wonder how everything got up the steep and twisting stairs!

Parking not close and required payment (Except from 8pm-8am in street). We thought parking was on site. Unloaded luggage but opted to keep big bag in car as steep staircase to second floor looked hazardous. Lots of codes given to get in and we messed up on one and got yelled at by scary guy with lots of tatts and peroxide do. We affectionately thereafter referred to him as the troll (from under the bridge) and did our best to not wake him again as we ventured out and in (dealing with parking and sightseeing). Shower water got cold midshower so keep it on hot (assuming it was temp adjustment that made it go cold but it never got hot again...Grrrr)

Perfect location for a city break. Round the corner from the Christmas market in the Dom Square. But no excessive noise. Apartment was warm, bed comfortable, kitchen appliances all good. Location and good quality apartment made it an ideal holiday.

Nothing was good

Everything was great, clean tidy and the apartment is very nicely decorated. There is even a starlight ceiling in the bathroom! The location is great!

The only nitpick would be that all the windows are facing the inside yard and all the sunlight is only the reflection from the building. Consequently - not much to see through the windows.
