Luxury Apartment in the center of Gueliz Marrakech

The flat is NOT in the centre of Gueliz. It is badly managed. It is too expensive for what it is and is NOT a good value for money. This flat is NOT “luxury” — it is too small to be luxury! The owner says: “the advert shows the size 570 sq. ft”; but what his advert does not show is that a third of that space is an external balcony! During dark and cold evenings, a balcony is no use to us. So, actual useful living space is much smaller. Inside the flat you are overlooked by a dozen of other flats. Where have you seen in a “luxury apartment” an under-counter fridge standing ON TOP of kitchen worktop?! This is unsightly. How can guests prepare meals, if the worktop space is taken by a fridge standing on top of a worktop?! Where is a proper dining table for four people? In a so-called “luxury apartment” we had to sit on a sofa and eat on a lap. Prior to check-in, the owner who lives abroad bombarded us with messages at all times of day and night. Before we arrived, we were pestered by him: "leave a positive review”, “make another reservation in my other apartments”. The owner now blatantly lies: “the messages were to provide instructions for the property”. No, my stay was on 30 December, and my screenshots prove that already on 27 December the owner was offering his other flats and asking for a good review BEFORE we even stayed. Despite agreeing a definite check-in time, the owner still insists that the client messages three hours prior arrival — all this causes additional hassle for a client who is travelling in a foreign country: it is not possible to message when you have no mobile roaming or indeed when you are on a plane in the air. Other customers have made negative comments that the key-hand over experience was awful. Indeed, the lady who was supposed to bring a key for the apartment was 3 hours late. The owner now blatantly lies: “you arrived 4 hours late at 18:00 without any previous notice”.

No, my screenshots show we contacted his agent/cleaner at 15:22, and then again at 17:33. At 17:49 she messaged that “the road is very busy”, and she arrived only at 18:23. The attached messages prove that the owner is a complete liar. Despite the advert saying “free private parking”, we were told that we would need to pay €20 as a deposit for parking. We paid in good faith on the promise that the lady who is collecting the key would pay us back when we check-out. However, when we were checking out, that lady failed to meet us for the check-out at midday. Eventually in the evening that lady answered our calls and claimed that she was sleeping, so she could not give us the deposit, but she promised to send it by Western Union on the same day. It was a lie — she did not even ask our details to be able to make a payment. Consequently, there was a large volume of messages and calls to booking.com and to the owner of this flat. All that was just a waste of our precious time on holiday trip. Eventually the owner made a payment of €20 by Western Union, but then it took us exceedingly long time to find a branch where we could collect that payment, and had to queue there for over an hour. The owner now blatantly lies: “I sent you money in 15 minutes”. No, my screenshots show that I contacted the owner at 21:09 hours, then it involved numerous messages, and the payment was sent at 22:12 hours — so, truthful answer: in 63 minutes, not in 15 minutes. During those messages the owner made a false claim that “a shampoo was missing” in a sly attempt to avoid returning deposit. Indeed, as other customers stated, there was a large-sized bottle with little of cheap shampoo. When it run out, we put the empty bottle into the kitchen bin. But now, after I left a negative review, the owner invented that “after you checked out, a big shower towel was missing”. What a dishonest and horrible person! Next time the owner will invent that a mattress was missing after guests checked...

The apartments are of course not "luxury" but decent, so nothing to complain about here. The host is a pretty and friendly young lady. The location is perfect, not only close to the train station but also to ctm and supratours. Inside the apartment you ll find everything that you need (even a washing-mashine) which makes this place perfect for a longer stay since you can make a "normal living" here

As already described earlier the check-in process doesnt work well for ppl without data-roaming or mobile connection and can easily lead to missunderstandings or waiting time. Furthermore its a little to expensive for what it is considering that for the same price you can already have a 3* hotel with full service and included breakfast.

Relatively expensive, and for that price, lacks some attention to details : slippers, praying mat, good quality tea/herbal infusions and coffee, iron, shoe shine, a washing machine...

Very clean. Modern. Everything that we need Location. Closed to restaurants and avenue

First of all, we would like to thank our hosts Ikram and Faisal for their excellent service and help. After multiple flight delays, we arrived at the place almost 8 hours late, and Ikram waited for us patiently to show us the apartment and explained how things worked in the apartment and gave us the keys. They were also very responsive and helpful in providing info about sightseeing areas and navigating the city. The apartment was in an excellent location, right across the train station, very close to everything; restaurants, supermarkets, cafes... very convenient. you can either walk to sightseeing locations, or take bus, or taxi. The apartment itself is almost brand new, very clean, very quiet, very safe, very comfortable and modern, and equipped with all you need to feel yourself at home. It's equipped with new heat pump (both AC and heat), excellent and stable WIFI, new stove, oven fridge washer, etc.... In summary it's impeccable. When we return to Marrakech, we will definitely book this place, and we will recommend this place to all friends and families.

Nothing

very close to the city centre, bus and train terminal only 5-10 mins walk which is making our life very easy to find out this place while travelling very first time from Agadir. The host Ikram and owner Faysal was very helpful in guiding us through out our booking and the end of our final checkout day. The Apartment is actually luxury like a five star hotel room and additional facilities you can enjoy living here like kitchen accessories, washing machine and cook something you like. Faysal helped me in booking additional 3 days which was not showing on booking.com and helped in booking. Gueliz area is very much modern style and people here also not like Old Marrakech and not looking for your money. I didn’t took the pictures but it looks same as the uploaded pictures by the owner.

I think Swimming pool as no one was using it this time as it’s situated in the middle of building and there is no sun light and water is cold so we didn’t use it.

The property has everything I needed, including toiletries and even washing detergent. Super comfy and quiet. Very helpful host. Highly recommend.
