Nilaveli Beach Apartment Sri Lanka

Leiligheten var stor og ren. Nærme nydelig strand og helt fint basseng. Eier (bosatt i London) og personalet på leilighetskomplekset var lett tilgjengelige ved behov. AC på det ene soverommet dryppet det av grunnet kondens, og det ble raskt tatt tak i når jeg ga beskjed. Det er også en restaurant som tilhører komplekset som serverer helt ok mat til en ok pris. Eneste ulempen er at restauranten og treningsrommet er i nabobygget, en kort spasertur fra leiligheten. Vi handlet inn og spiste frokost i leiligheten. Vi var 4 familier som var på Nilaveli og bodde på ulike leiligheter på de to byggene. Konklusjonen var at leiligheten vi leide var det reneste og som var bedre enn forventet. Etter å ha vært i Nilaveli og opplevd at de fortsatt er litt uerfaren på turister, vil jeg anbefale å bo i denne leilighetskomplekset fremfor hotell. Fin leilighet og rent bad. Nilaveli beach anbefales. Ta også en tur innom Trincomalee når dere er i Nilaveli.

Ikke så mye egentlig med leiligheten. Restauranter i området har noe å lære om turisme og turister. Server kald Lion. Server maten uten å måtte vente i flere timer. Og server gjerne srilankisk mat (og ikke kall kokt makaroni for pasta).

Staff were not that friendly and the amenities / services advertised were not available but we went off season so that might be why

The apartments are very spacious. Enough of space for everyone. The rooms, living room, balconies, shower - everything was clean and comfortable. Location is fantastic. Right next to the beach, wonderful place to swim even for small kids. The pool was also clean. It's ideal if you want less noise and total escape from the city, might not be that great if you don't have a vehicle. The distance to the main town is about 30 minutes. But very close to Pigeon Island where you can do snorkeling with turtles, riff sharks and many beautiful fish.

Great location right next to the beach, friendly staff and food was really good. Pool and surrounding area was well maintained.

We had some problems with A/C which took some time to fix

Good location pretty much centre of Nilavelli beach. Clean spacious and v very light apartment. Lovely view of the beach. Walk out left to Memo's - nice beach cafe though service very slow. Bit further left is Diving Guru good for whale/dolphin watching. Saw lots of dolphins. They also seem a good place for diving and we went snorkelling with them to Pigeon island - amazing.

No shops close by - a little onsite shop would be handy stocking toiletries and perhaps basic breakfast food. Memo's good for breakfast though - as long as you don't mind waiting! We were only there 3 nights and happy to eat out. Kitchen small and I suspect cooking would be a bit difficult if you are so inclined. Building lacks character on the outside
