Explorer Podgorica

Such an unbelievable positive vibe! This is why I stay in hostels :) The place has a huge common space with a balcony (view on the mountains, even though it is slam down in the middle of the center), where you can meet other guests and have interesting conversations till deep in the night. The host is a wonderful guy always ready to answer all your questions and full of useful tips. The common room has many facilities, (though I didn't need them) which by now are lacking in many hostels, such as a printer to print out tickets and such. Well-equiped kitchen, the bathroom even has a bidet and there are comfy beds (which were made-up every day, also not that common in hostels), fresh towels every day, and lockers big enough to put in your backpack plus extras. The place is super-clean, the host takes a lot of care of everything (I noticed him cleaning almost all the time :) ) And of course it is crawling distance from the bus station, which also makes traveling around this part of Montenegro (or further away) very easy

The hostel is situated in the pedestrian area in the historical centre and city centre of Podgorica. The room and the bathroom is comfortable and well-equipped. The staff is very helpful. I enjoyed staying in Explorer Hostel, and satisfied with everything. I highly recommend this place.

The location was good and the neighborhood looked pretty safe.

There was this weird smell whenever we got back to our room. The floor of the room wasn’t clean when we got there and the kitchen was a complete mess. The shared bathroom was just by our side, it lacked maintenance and cleaning, and the door creaked loudly.

Good location and friendly staff

The location was perfect. Right next to the train and bus station. The bed was very comfortable. I was a female traveling alone in a 4 bed room. There was 2 guys staying there and everyone was polite and tried to be as quiet as possible. The room had lockers that fit large luggage and everything else I brought which was amazing! The host was very nice and responsive when my flight was 2 hrs late. Biggest thing was they had a split AC!! So important in. Podgorica! I would definitely stay again.

The bathroom could be nicer but not a big deal. It was clean and functional.

room had two advised at time of booking. one said ‘room with shared bathroom’ and the other said ‘room with garden view’. We made the assumption this meant it wasn’t shared bathroom, however it was.

Run by a very kind and fun man. Good quiet location, very close to the main bus station and 15 minute walk to the center of Podgorica.
