Deluxe Apartments by Hostlovers

Apartments are in a good place if you are coming to visit the city center. Quite cozy style. It suits with a winter season, when there are a lot of snow outside, so light design gives a comfortable feeling inside.

At first, there were issues with car parking. There wasn't any remote with the keys (as stated in the owner's message), therefore we had no control of the parking lot gates. The host told us that the remote was taken by the previous client, so will need to go around the building to reach the parking lot without using the gates. The host didn't even say sorry for the inconvenience. We managed to get to the parking near the house, but there was no space! Also, this road was all icy and snowy (winter season), hardly driveable with a lower car. The magnetic key which unlocks the main doors of the house didn't work to unlock the alley gates, which are locked at 9 pm. So we had to go all around the block to enter the house from the other side. In the apartments, we found a lot of long, black hairs lying on the bathroom floor, in the shower, and on the towels as well. Also, there was only one clean fork in the kitchen, the other one was left dirty inside the dishwasher, which was dirty itself. There were chunks of food left inside it along with other dirty kitchen tools. If you are planning to have a glass of wine in the evening, be sure to take a glass with you, as there are no wine glasses inside the apartment. The heater inside the bedroom wardrobe was noisy. Decided to turn it off, however, it resulted in no hot water in the morning. Even with the heater on, it was cold to be inside. Outside the flat, in the stairway, there is a constant cigarette smell, which is annoying (not blaming the host for this for sure). The small table in the living room still had some sugar left, and the floor itself was pretty dirty as well (white socks quickly turned black), so I am assuming cleanliness is not a priority for the host. It wouldn't be so unpleasant if apartments would be half-price cheaper. At the moment, the quality surely isn't worth the price.

there is nothing I didn’t like about it, airy but also cosy. Perhaps a sharper knife and a chopping board!

Great location on pedestrian avenue with cafe's and restaurants nearby. Kitchen had oven, cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with a small freezer compartment. Bathroom was spacious with shower cubicle and washing machine. The apartment was well equipped (had iron and hairdryer) and had good WIFI. The TV has very limited channels in English so bring a firestick or equivalent. The bedroom has a sloping roof so space is very limited.

To access the main building door you must go in via an arch way which has no lighting, it is pitch black (from 5ish) in winter. The apartment is on the top floor with limited lighting. There are some sensor lights in the building but they are only activated from the ground floor (only when you are coming in via the main door), when you come out of the apartment and go down the stairs the middle floors have no lighting at all! I went to leave the apartment early one morning for an appointment and the street access was closed off by a gate with a padlock, I had to go around the back which felt very unsafe in the darkness. I later asked the host about this and was told there is a gate within the gate that can be opened with the key fob! This information is essential to people staying. As a female staying I did not feel safe using the 'back' yard access or accessing the apartment once it got dark. Better instructions needed from the host on building access, extra sheets, where the bins are exactly and how to use the heating!
