Old Riga Historical One Bedroom Apartment

We loved this place! Its spacious and cozy at the same time. Every room was well equipped and clean. The location? It couldn’t be better. It was a bit loud since its near pubs and it was weekend but after a day of intensive sightseeing it wasn’t much of a problem. Many beds, electric radiators if you’re cold and beautiful watercolor paintings.

The location is exactly in the old town, we went on July and there was no fan so it was pretty hot and having the windows open at night is not the best idea due the noise from the bars just next door, so take that in count if you are easily disturbed by noise. It has 2 toilets, that was super helpful when you travel in group.

The sofa beds in the living room and chairs had a lot of stains, and you could feel the springs a lot, but the sheets and towels were clean.

Excellent location close to everything. Shops and restaurants just around the corner. Very easy walk from the bus station. The apartment is nice, clean and very well equipped, had everything we needed and more. The host is very helpful and sent us super clear instructions for checking in.

The only downside is the noise from the pubs located in the same courtyard. They are open quite late so bring ear plugs if you are sleeping in the sofa bed & are a light sleeper. It’s mostly pretty calm but the bar next door does play kinda loud music. In the bedroom the noise is not bad at all though.

Excellent localisation. At the beginning I've been afraid that the next door restaurants might be a problem (they were playing loud music, smoking), but luckily it wasn't the case, doors kept the noises outside, windows stopped the smell. Good contact with personnel. The apartment has its character with the old wooden floor, antique furniture and a big black piano. At this price, this is a really good choice.

A bed for people not taller than ~1,80m. During our visit, we had cold water due to the water heater failure but I guess it's something that you cannot foresee, it just might happen. Personnel was interested in fixing the issue but unfortunately we were staying too short to experience hot water :)

It was central and there was lots of activity around, but it did not disturb us or our nights sleep. Some features were quite quirky, which made the flat interesting; with many original features.

It was not really a flat. It had some features of a flat but was more likely to be a meeting place, that is let as a flat sometimes. As a result it did not feel cosy and did not have a proper bed. The general appearance of the flat was poor and needed modernisation.
