DAR AZIZ

The breakfast was served to us on the terrace (It was warm every day). We could ask the night before what time we would like it. The proportions were generous, omelette, cakes, breads, pancakes, jam, tea coffee, fresh fruit juice etc

The location is near the tanneries which is about a 20 minute walk from the centre. Moroccan houses have fewer windows which are kept shut to keep the heat in and in this case the odour from the tanneries. There was a power cut at one point and the last morning no water - this was not our hosts fault at all, but part of living in the city!

The host was very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty to choose from. Accommodation was very clean and adequate for our needs.

Very helpful nice and clean

This was our first trip to Marrakech and the experience was even better because of the accommodation and our amazing host Aziz. The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable. You have a sitting room to put your feet up, a kitchen with a dining table and all the kitchen facilities you would need. A clean bathroom and large bedrooms, including AC and Wi-Fi. What made this experience even better was our amazing host and owner Aziz, who lives in the properly upstairs. Whenever we needed any assistance he was happy to help and always smiling! We had open access to the rooftop where we would often watch the sunrise and have breakfast at times that suited our needs, in order to get our day started. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of local and fresh foods and fruits. My personal favourite being the mint tea and local bread. Aziz and his family were amazing and by the end of the stay, it felt like we had made long-life friends. Would highly recommend and I would 100% stay here again.

Aziz was an amazing host. Breakfast was so generous and the apartment was very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Incredible value.

This is not the hosts fault. Location is in Medina at the eastern edge which is great for accessing but there were quite a few males hanging around and at times were making comments towards my girlfriend so maybe wouldn't be safe for females late at night. Probably harmless, but they still made my girlfriend and mother uncomfortable. And even when I asked them to have a little respect they continued to shout after we walked away on one or two occasions.

Aziz and his wife were great hosts - they are very kind and genuine people and were just fantastic when my boy had an accident, I couldn't have asked for more from them. The apartment itself was very pleasant and conveniently located. Lovely breakfast on the roof terrace.

Watch out for the slippery tiles in the bathroom! The bedrooms didn't have aircon (we didn't need it during our trip so that was not a problem).

The apartment was fully furnished, TV, kitchen, fridge, ect everything you need for your holiday you have it however if you need anything there is Aziz the owner of the apartment that is always there to help you, the location is 15 min by Walk to the Medina market and during this time you will visit the history of Medina where you can see all the traditional work of the leather, in the morning we have a nice breakfast in the terrace all prepared by the owner and you can take the sun 🌞, make sure you put the cream because the sun is strong in Marrakesh, my experience with Aziz was very good I would recommend to the tourist that would like to visit the city you can always ask information to Aziz he is very kindly person and always willing to help you, if you need taxi to take you from the airport to the apartment just ask him recommend that, Thank you very much for everything Aziz

We felt absolutely great at Aziz! I feel the need to explain a bit more my ratings. I gave it a very high score, even though it is not a luxury property. Everything was very clean. The score is for Aziz and his family: we felt like guests in his house, not like one of the hundreds of tourists coming there. We were taken care of, from having been put in contact with a great guide to being shown and helped around in Marrakesh. The breakfast was amazing and everything was freshly prepared by Aziz´s wife. She even showed my daughter and me how to make amazing msemem - the traditional pancakes - and we prepared them in her kitchen. We had also dinner there twice and it was the best from all other couscous and tajine we tried else in the city :). One evening my son was not feeling well and Aziz´s wife prepared a vegetable soup for us, so he can eat as well. All in all we felt spoiled in a nice and caring way. I definitely recommend this location!

Nothing: all that could have been done to make us feel better was done :).

Host kindly arranged a taxi for us, met us from the taxi and walked us to the apartment. We asked for breakfast at 3 different times over our stay and he went out of his way each time to accomdate us and served a large and excellent breakfast! On the last day he stored our bags and even made us tea while we waited for our taxi to the airport (that he arranged!) The apartment itself was clean, tidy and comfortable, no frills but everything you need. The location is great, 10 minutes or less and you're in the main part of the medina. The last 100 metres may appear a little unsettling as it is clearly a locals area with minimal tourists. But I cannot stress enough we had no issues from anyone and felt self at all times of the day.
