Chez Ali Apartments

Lovely spacious well furnished apartment with a super kind and friendly host! Bathroom was spotless and shower was hot. This wasn't my first visit to Essaouira and I actually wanted to be outside the medina so this location was perfect as it was still walkable to the beach and medina for visits. I felt very safe in the area as a solo female traveller. Literally next door to the apartments is a place to print your boarding pass. A few steps further is a restaurant. I was able to walk to the Carrefour to stock up, visit a real local hammam and eat grilled meat from local places. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back!

Only noticed 1 power socket in the bedroom so use wisely!

I made my own breakfast....It was great :)) easy to get around, walking or taxi. enjoyed the old walled town, great food and interesting markets. beautiful beaches, awesome fresh fish market right at the harbour.

The night life was a little on the quiet side, not much going on.

It was comfortable and big and the staff was really nice! Overall nice place to stay for price

The location of that apartment was great to get easily into the Medina.

The shower was not that warm sadly. The heater was on full power already. So maybe the owners should check what is wrong. Additionally the towels smelled not good. But all in all for the price and that location it was definitely worth it!

Lovely, spacious apartment & good kitchen facilities and friendly, helpful host. Location is perfect. Excellent little Moroccan restaurant just around the corner, and lots of 'corner shops' close by.

Needed a logon to watch TV.

The apartment was very basic and exceptionally clean. The hosts were so friendly - they even brought me a piece of cake when there was a family birthday. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was only 15 min walk to the Medina, and the main beach. I'd recommend it as a place to sleep, rather than hang out. I loved the bay window in the main bedroom I have a hopeless sense of direction so I was incredibly grateful to be rescued one day when I got lost!

The lighting could be better - so harsh in the living room and kitchen, not very home-sy, and it was otherwise very dark. There is no outdoor space, like a patio or garden so during the day, I wasn't inspired to stick around.

The location is wonderful. A little bit of a walk from the Medina which is fine for me but also quiet. So you have the best of both worlds. And the beach is a very short walk away. The couple that own the apartment were very accommodating and courteous. I arrived after midnight unannounced and they met me to give me the keys, Bonus is that there are laundry facilities so that was great too.
