Apartment Martin

Amazing hosts, great location. Easy communication online and in person, too. Spacious and very clean apartment. The parking area is tricky, as it's not 100% dedicated and people, who visit the stores in the neighborhood often block the path to drive in / out. Generally it's OK, but one has to prepare for such events, too. The old town and the lake is very close to the apartment, no car is needed within the town.

Woth parking one has to be creative, but nothing impossible.

Clean, attractive, spacious. Great dining room table, very usable dining room table. We also loved the terrific balcony! Great location.

Our main issue was that the AC was broken, so we had to leave the windows open. This made for a lot of city racket (motorcycles, yelling, laughing, etc) & clouds of nicotine wafting in. We did not sleep well, but for my husband, who readily sleeps through loud noises. He was fine! We did report it to the hostess right away in hopes it might be repaired by the following night, but were told it could not be done before our departure. 😔 Their prior repair attempt had not worked and they'd "given up," apparently. Which is weird. The other issue was that they forgot to mention this-- and instead left the AC controls sitting out as usual. It actually took us a while to figure out that the AC would shut itself off automatically within a few minutes of being switched on. My husband's a handyman, and in addition, we thought perhaps we'd broken it because no one had told us it didn't work! So of course he set about looking up model information online to see if he could attempt a repair... But that turned out to be a dead end. How strange not to mention this to your renters. Anyway, the lesser issues were: (a) Owner needs a lock box so she doesn't need to meet with the renter directly. Because of languages issues, owner's daughter must leave work & drive 40 minutes round trip every time she has to let in a renter-- which sometimes doesn't work out so well. (b) Shower head must be hand-held. There's no way to position it above your for the duration of your shower. (c) No entryway to the apartments permitted from the front. You have to walk around the block to gain access to the entry door. But basically, as long as you don't care about the AC issue, you will be just fine in this apartment. It really is attractive & roomy!
