Wonderful Studio Apartment in Skopje center

Good locacion

Cannot comment as we were not given the property we booked. Owner stated in phone call that he had allowed the previous occupants to extend their stay after accepting our booking and was giving us another apartment. We booked based on reviews, photos and stated facilities. The photos of the apartment we booked showed a clean, uncluttered and maintained property. The property we were given was not at all like the property we booked and lacked some facilities. The onsite market did not exist. On site parking was a public access vacant parcel of land close to the building but only accessible by driving two streets down the road, driving into a paid car park and then entering a gap in the parking area fence.

We used the booking.com checkin time block 12 to 1. At 12 noon we still had not been given the address details or how to access. The owner stated a lady was on her way to give us access and give us instructions. We waited 20 mins. Finally she arrived but could not speak a word of English - how was she to give us instructions? “5 mini” we assumed was wait 5 minutes. Another 20 minutes later, after yet another call, she finally came down. The apartment we were given, was not cleaned properly. There was grit/crumbs in the bed, food splashes above the cook top, children’s scribbling on the walls, broken blinds, mouldy shower, etc. The one we booked had aircon in the bedroom, but the one we were given only had aircon in the other room and it was unable to cope with the summer heat and the bedroom was stifling - especially with the afternoon sun on the glass bedroom doors. As the blinds were only 3/4 the height of the doors and many vanes were bent, the heat just transferred. We ended up sleeping on the uncomfortable sofa under the aircon as the bedroom was so hot. The apartment was clearly someone’s home, and full of their personal effects and general belongings. I.e. shoes in racks, food in kitchen, toys, etc. the wardrobe was screwed closed so we had nowhere to hang clothes. A very large amplifier was left beside the bed and you had to climb over the foot or the other side to get it. The promised drying rack was not provided.

Well equiped apartment. Great location, and awesome communcation from the hosts.

Everything! Owner was friendly and extremely helpful. He also arranged a pick-up from the airport despite arriving pretty late in the evening. Totally recommended!

Our host was great! He helped us with every question we had and gave us some good recommendations. We had everything we needed at the apartment.

Great location for us, only a 7 minute walk from the bus station. It's in a great neighbourhood. Alexander was very helpful for everything we needed.
