Valletta Art PentHouse with seaview

Good location with easy access to everything. Well equipped. Quirky layout which will appeal to most but not all. Good choice of several outdoor spaces, each bedroom has a balcony, the lounge/kitchen diner has two balconies and there is a roof terrace (see below) with good views out across the rooftops, including of the neighbouring cathedral dome and bells. A small lift is available, which is really essential as the alternative is a stone spiral staircase up 4 floors.

There is only a shower in one of the bedrooms, so had to climb stone spiral staircase to the upper floor to go to the toilet/sink. Access to the roof terrace is via a fixed steel stair and then a heavy, horizontal sliding glass roof light. Not for the faint hearted or elderly! We had our 83 year old Mum with us and she really struggled with the spiral stairs and roof access. We had very noisy neighbours below who kept us awake most nights as all floors have balconies which look out onto a common atrium and sound and cigarette smoke travels. The apartment is in need of general maintenance (marked paintwork, ripped curtains, paint peeling off kitchen cupboards, shower seals black, etc). Patio doors can all be closed from outside causing you to be locked out and trapped outside. This happened to us on our first night and it took over an hour to wake my elderly parent to rescue us. There are small, faded warning signs stuck on the door frame but we didn't see them until it was too late (new, bigger signs needed and perhaps a written warning included in email comms).

The location was great. We were allowed to drop off our luggage early. We enjoyed the rooftop. The church bells were an added bonus. The walking location was close to everything and felt safe. The decor was cool. The owner had a great book to reference for internet and penthouse information. He also referenced local food/tours recommendations.

The queen bed needed to be higher. It was so low to the ground.

Superb location, great facilities in the apartment, 2 great terraces but the 3rd was a bit difficult to access so that's why I rated 9 out of 10 because apart from that and a bit of a steep staircase it was pretty much perfect. The owners were really quick and responsive to all messages before the visit and during so that was great.

Just as I said, the top terrace a bit awkward but the other 2 were great. 1 steep staircase could benefit from a hand rail but it's fine if you're careful. I would definitely stay there again so that tells you how good I think it was.

Well equipped and comfortable with good water pressure and lots of hot water. Amazing location, truly in the heart of the action, but a peaceful and quiet place to stay.

The location was perfect and the apartment was very nicely decorated, the host was helpful and responded fast to our communication. We would recommend this place to everyone!

Perfect location, just around the corner from Valletta restaurants, sights, nightlife. Well-maintained, quiet. Host was away from Valletta, but was responsive via email. Plenty of space in the apartment, great wifi upstairs in the living room and kitchen.

There is one full bathroom in one bedroom, but the second one only has a shower cabin, with the toilet upstairs past the living room and kitchen. Also, wi-fi does not reach the bedroom that has the bathroom.
