Your Apartment

The apartment was cozy and comfortable, and it had all the kitchen tools and equipment we needed. It’s in a safe and quiet neighborhood, close to the city center and public transport. The host, Dario, was very welcoming and helpful—not just with the apartment, but also with great suggestions for things to do. We really enjoyed our 5-night stay.

We loved the stay in this apartment, the location was amazing, the owner was amazing, helped us with anything we needed, the apartment was spacious, had AC. The best you can possibly get for the price!

The bathrooms/shower were a bit small.

We loved the location, which other reviewers had also mentioned. The apartment is in a residential type neighborhood a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Triton foutain. Within two blocks, two bakeries, a good restaurant and a convenience store. Our host was very kind and had oodles of information making himself available via WhatsApp at any time. He also arranged our taxi to and from the airport. The apartment was spacious, lots of natural light. I very much enjoyed my morning coffee and reading on the small traditional balcony. The apartment has two AC units, one in the bedroom, and a second on the upper level which is much needed as temps are getting quite hot at mid June.

The bathroom is located in the main bedroom. Not really a concern for us, but I could see where this would be an issue for two couples staying at the apartment. Also, the stairway to the second level is quite narrow and no handrail. The property is best suited for two adults with two kids ( 5 to 12 yrs. ). The main bedroom has no windows, and one side of the bed is up against a wall, so no option for lighting next to the bed for reading or putting anything next to the bedside. Basically, you have to scoot out of bed if you are on that side.

Great location, just a short walk to Valletta historical center. Plenty of space to sit/relax adn very clean. Very comfortable for 4 adults, but 2nd bed is on loft with VERY steep stairs so not recommended for children or anyone with mobility problems. Only one bathroom which is absolutely OK, but it's on lower floor and inside the first bedroom. So be aware that to use it you must go through the lower bedroom to access it. Overall we really liked it and would stay there again in we ever come back to beautiful Malta. Great host, great communications, lots of local info/suggestions provided

2nd bed is on loft with VERY steep stairs. Not an issue for us, but not recommended for children or anyone with mobility problems. Only one bathroom which is absolutely OK, but it's on lower floor and inside the first bedroom so to use it you must go through the lower bedroom to access it. CHeck-in process was bit frustrating, we had to wait about an hour for host to get there to let us in. But host was very responsive and apologetic and even gave us some wine!

In a nutshell, all was great. The location is superb. Close to Valetta (10 min walk) but far away enough to have peace and quiet when needed. Close to bus station. The apartment was very clean. Beds comfortable. The kitchen equipped well enough to enjoy your stay (salt, pepper, coffee, tea, olive oil, pots, cutlery. Nothing missing). The apartment itself is very old and it is an added value. It has this artistic feeling/ atmosphere of old times. The host, Dario, is a very welcoming person. He gave us great restaurants recos in Valetta. Hearing that we have a flight in the evening he himself suggested late check out if no one books the apartment on the day of our departure. That was super thoughtful and much appreciated.
