We really enjoyed this apartment. It had everything we needed and it was in a great location, with many attractions within walking distance. Whilst the building is old, it felt authentic. We traveled with family who stayed in fancy hotels and they all preferred where we were. The terraces are a beautiful spot, with one always free from the sun at any one time to enjoy the views. There is a lovely breeze that comes through the apartment thanks to the many windows and doors. The owner was very helpful and friendly and answered my questions throughout our stay. There is a lovely bakery Maypole very close by for fresh bread and other great foods. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to feel they are within the real Malta. The lift was also appreciated by our kids.

- Location was ok. - We got two fans when two of three air condition machines was broken. Also got two compensation pizzas. - Thank you for poisoning ants, it helped some

- Payment with bank transfer, not credit card. - Lots of automated emails from the owner. Information in them was partly outdated (covid, deposit). - Had to email picture of my passport which is generally not safe. - Apartment was not cleaned very well. Dusty behind furniture and terraces were not cleaned. Unclean dishes. Cupboards and cabinets smelled mold. Generally felt unclean. - I killed hundreds of ants during our stay. Mainly in kitchen but they were everywhere. We were very careful with food and trash. We were told that in Malta ants are common problem. - No dishwasher - Checkout at 10 am.

The terraces were nice with tables and chairs. There were extensive instructions which made everything clear, even if it was excessive.

We were forced to pay by bank transfer when we didn't have to but were made to feel it was the only choice. This cost us extra and it should have been kept within the Booking.com system. Do not let them make you feel this is the only option. The emails and messages with instructions were far too much for a 4 day holiday. The electric was metered which made you feel on edge the whole time. The bathroom is very basic and fairly run down .

Payment handled outside Booking.com. After making the reservation, I was asked to bank transfer the payment to the host instead of paying directly through booking.com, which causes extra cost on exchange and wiring fees. Need to buy your own shampoo, shower gel and trash bag, etc. The host was not willing to provide/refill even though it was in the first few days but told you to buy at a neighbourhood store; Metered electricity- you are provided with a fixed amount of balance and need to calculate and use. Maybe it’s a norm in Malta and we are against wasting energy but this should be mentioned in the property details; Wrong environment tax charge - I had to talk to the customer service at Booking.com before the host agreed to refund the amount.
