Gunlayer apartments - Flat 3

We enjoyed the apartment which had all the room you required and was well set up. It was very central and easy walking distance from Valletta and the waterfront.

Nothing that I read about this apartment told me that it was on the fourth floor of a building with NO lift. The 60 steps on 7 steep flights of stairs were killers for a couple who are 82 and 78. After days exploring Malta in temps of mid 30 degrees they were the last straw to climb, and we are a fit couple. In the description of the property, reference should be made to no lift and flat 3 being on the fourth floor. If this had been stated we would not have booked here.

Location is very good, a few minutes from the bus stop and you can go anywhere in the island.

Water pressure in the shower was very weak. Also when we enter there were some hairball on the floor.

Great location; quiet but close to Valletta. A spacious, clean and comfortable apartment, and a comfortable bed. The host, Milena, was very accommodating and responded promptly to messages.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Everything was phantastic! The apartment had everything one can need during a vacation, all amenities and tools are there, which is really helpful. The location is really good, especially if you want to travel a lot to different places on Malta using public transport or taxi. All busses to/from Valletta are passing at a stop 200/300m from the apartment. Floriana is a quiet residential area, but you will find a great Sicilian breakfast cafe, a nice Maltese restaurant and a bar with live music evenings directly nearby. Add views to three different directions (in the apartment itself) and the rooftop terrace shared with other apartments to top the overall great impression!

If you are not so mobile, steep stairs to the 3rd floor without a lift could be a problem and you should probably consider other options in such case. For us it was OK.

Very clean and well equiped apartment. Good position in a quiet neighbourhood and close to the Valletta Gate.

It will be very good to have some hooks in the bathroom for towels.

Host was very helpful and responsive. Good location for walking to major locations and public transport.

Area felt a little dodgy, however, we had no issues. Felt safe

The location of the apartment is perfect - 5 min to bus stops, to Valetta, to restaurants and other attractions. You have everything you need provided and beyond, also the bed is super comfy. We loved our stay here!
