Location.

No human contact. Three keys in a lock box to access room.

Bugs especially ants everywhere, we also needed more towels and toilet paper which weren’t provided besides the ones we were given.

As others have commented, the apartment is in the basement of this building, but this did not bother us. It felt secure and there was some limited natural light that enters from an 'open to the elements' central area housed within the four sides of the building (which means you hear the rain, as we did during the evenings of our stay, which was extremely heavy at times). Clean, tidy, comfortable and functional (containing an eclectic mix of furniture/decorations). We did, on occasions, switch on the humidifier just to clear a musty smell that developed whilst we were out (being in the basement it can get quite humid). We experienced a short power cut but, on notifying the host, she reacted with haste; a kind and caring host. A short walking distance to the centre. Wi-Fi worked well as did the shower. For the price we paid, we thought it good value.

Everything was ok for a short stay. It would not be our choice for an apartment if we owned one, but it is certainly makes for a good stay, especially as for most of the time you are out sightseeing.

The communication from the host regarding check in etc was very good. Clear and efficient. The flat had all that was needed. WiFi. TV. Equipped kitchen. Good shower. The bedroom was quiet and dark. Good air con.

This place is let down significantly by the fact that it is in a basement with all the typical problems that come with that. Steep and very unattractive and smelly stairway down to the flat. The flat suffers from damp and humidity. The owner is obviously trying her best to deal with these issues. The main issue for us is that in the description in booking.com it does not say it is in a basement down awkward steps. If it had I wouldn't have stayed there. There was a problem with the electrics. When we turned one of the lights on all the rest of the electrics tripped. Luckily the owner was there so we could get her to sort it. Had she not been there it would have been a problem.

The place is near the high street and the beach view. I also like that it was quite spacious. You'll have your own living room, bedroom, kitchen and toilet and you can also hang your clothes outside. Perfect location, 5 min from the center of Valletta in a beautiful little street.

The location was just around the corner of "Auberge Baviere", thus situated in one of the very historical parts of Valletta. Restaurants, a small bakery and even a Supermarket can be found nearby.

Everything was fine, however, clients should note that the apartment is situated in the basement of the house, thus not all rooms are illuminated by daylight. On the other hand, it is very quiet down there.
