Dragon Nest Apartments

The apartment is in a great location- very central and an easy walk from most of the main attractions. The apartment is well equipped with a lovely bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Great location in China town, inside a close "compound". The communication with the host was great and they were super helpful. Pretty big apartment. Couple of Chinese restaurants around, walking distance (15//20 mins to Caudan).

The entrance to the apartment is a bit "doggy" (access is through a tiny alley where a chinese lady has her restaurant) so maybe not the most safe feeling, although I did have no issues at all.

Very spacious, clean, modern, close to restaurants. Very helpful and caring host.

I would recommend a mirror where one could do your hair. I got creative and used the microwave 🤭 Do bear in mind that it's in the middle Port Louis and it is quite noisy at night and it might be difficult to sleep.

The apartment is well equipped and in a very good location. There are restaurants and cafes nearby and it‘s a 15 min walk to the waterfront. The owner is super nice and caring.

The smaller apartment has no view at all. One window in the kitchen shows the staircase and there is no window in the bedroom. And it is quite noisy. Below the apartment is a Chinese food place and the lovely woman starts moving tables, giving orders and chopping vegetables at 7:30am. Also the nearby mosque can be heard (also at night)

The apartment is well equiped: kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine, etc. It is also well situated, depending on what you intend to do. If you want to spend the day at the beach, forget it. But if you want to visit the island with the local transport, it is perfect; the bus terminal is 5 minutes walk away, the Waterfront is 15 minutes walk away. The staff is very friendly, you can ask when you need something and they can also arrange a cheap taxi from the airport. Only; you practically don't see any member of the staff during your stay. And on Sunday and public holiday, there is absolutely nobody.

The outdoor (no surprise that you only see indoor pictures on the website of booking.com). The apartment is siuated at the rear of an old building, that needs to be refreshed. To go to your apartment, you have to walk through a small path where a Chinese lady sells some food, and you need four keys: one for the outdoor gate, another for a second gate, a third to access the apartment and a fourth to close your sleeping room. And if is it already dark when you come back, is tis not easy to find the switch if you are not used to it. Also: there no reception, only a lady waiting for you to give you the keys (if you mention your arrival time). The sleeping room has no window, so I did'know if it was sunny or dark outside.

Location is perfect as it places you in the middle of the China Town from where you can easily explore. The accommodation is very modernly equipped (don't be fooled by the surroundings/entry) and the host is very easy to get in touch and arrange plans.

There's nothing that we didn't like. The area is not for everyone so you do have to know where you're arriving as it's very specific and not your "urban" type of a place. The newer area with restaurants etc is also very close though.
