Blue Residences- Ground floor two bedroom apartment

Appartement luxueux, spacieux et magnifiquement décoré (et très bien équipé). Terrasse donnant sur un jardin très bien arboré, parfait pour nos petits déjeuner. Magnifique piscine dans la résidence, place de stationnement privative. Résidence dans un secteur très calme de Grand Baie et très bien située (plage, restaurants, commerces). Personnel très accueillant, efficace, discret et professionnel.

We really appreciated our stay at Blue Residences. The flat was really great, with a garden area and the location was stunning and really close to Grand Baie, Mont Choisy and Trou aux Biches beaches! The Blue Residences team was helpful and always available.

The below are recommendations for improvements: The kitchen is not sufficiently equipped and does not include cooking essential (only a tiny oven proof dish when apartment is supposed to welcome 4 guests, only one potholder, no scissors, no coffee, no tea, no sugar, no oil, only 2 saucepans while the others are scratched and likely made with teflon, no cutting board, etc.) Bed of the master bedroom and AC were creaky which could be improved. As mentioned in other comments pressure and hot water of the master bedroom could also be improved. Despite the above we still enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying at Blue Residences.

Everything was great! Our host, Sahirah, responded promptly to all our questions (she recommended us a great man - Mr. Novind for renting a car) and even arranged a late check-out for us since our flight was scheduled for the evening. The apartment was spacious and clean, with small shops, a bakery, a restaurant, and the magnificent beach all just a 5-10 minute walk away. (You can reach the beach in just 5 minutes by walking down the street.) The swimming pool was excellent. Although shared with other apartments, we ended up having it all to ourselves - likely because it wasn’t peak season, and nearly 80% of the units were empty. Either way, we really enjoyed it! For exploring the city center - where you’ll find supermarkets, restaurants, shops, and nightclubs - a car is recommended.

I wasn’t pleased that the cleaning lady (very nice and friendly person) who came to change the towels and bedsheets, after the first change, put the used linens into the washing machine inside the apartment, washed them, and then hung them to dry on the terrace - effectively turning it into a laundry room. For the next 5-6 days of our stay, laundry was constantly being dried on the terrace, which ruined the experience of what would otherwise have been a beautiful outdoor space. Additionally, we didn’t notice the WC near the entrance being cleaned during our stay, and there were no hand towels provided. Although the washing machine was located there (and listed as one of the apartment’s amenities), we got the impression that this bathroom wasn’t actually intended for guest use. Finally, the mattresses in the main bedroom need replacement as soon as possible - they're worn out and sagging. Additionally, the upholstered furniture in the living room requires deep cleaning, as there's an unpleasant odor coming from it. These are all minor points that could easily be addressed to create a perfect stay.

Excellent communication prior to arrival. Residence was roomy and clean - we enjoyed the swimming pool. Highly recommend going to patisserie on main road nearby. When looking for the beach walk out of front gate turn right and there is a small lane way about 200 metres on left.

Good location, was very clean. There was good communication with the host. Host accommodated early check in and late check out for us. Great overall.

Very comfortable and spacious apartment in a quiet location. Owner very flexible with check out which we appreciated very much.

We stayed just a few days which was ideal but for longer stays especially for those who like to prepare meals at home a few more pots with lids/utensils would be useful.
