Cosy Apartment in Ebene

The apartment was clean and neat. The location was perfect for us. We had business in Ebene. The Metro station is a short 500m from the apartment. Quick access to Port Louis via the metro.

The quick response of the appartement manger was highly efficient.

The Apartment is very close to the metro (literally less than 3 minuted by foot) and has parking right in front of it. Its guarded (though the guards seem to be busy watching TikTok instead of actually watching the gates) and in a relatively calm region. Its easy to get to Port Louis etc from here by both car and metro. The Apartment has a very cozy living room with a TV and a balcony. The host was incredibly friendly and reached out to us to chfck if everything was alright. There is a manual that gives you lots of little insider tricks on where to find what and the Apartment has many very nice amenities like a rice cooker, a TV, Wifi (limited to about 11GB per day) and lots of cooking ware.

The apartment has several features that are functional but could benefit from better installation or maintenance. For example, the faucet is very sensitive: Shifting it just a few millimetres can result in a significant temperature change, ranging from cold to around 80 degrees Celsius, according to our thermometer. In the bathroom, there appear to be areas where previous signs of mould were simply painted over and there are some darker markings on the lining of the sink. We also noticed that the ventilation shaft had some small insects, including cockroaches, which led us to buy spray and treat the window edges ourselves to prevent pests from entering when keeping the window open to avoid moisture build-up. Upon contacting the owner of the apartment, they did offer to call in pest-controll though so that's very nice. The windows and doors are not completely flush, so some wind and outside noise can be heard indoors. The main door, while functional, feels a bit less sturdy than one might be used to. It flexes noticeably when touched and may not withstand much force, though the area itself is walled in and guarded so we did feel safe regardless. That all said, the location is excellent and the price, about USD 1100 for 29 nights, is very reasonable and a rare find in such a central location. Just keep in mind that the apartment’s construction and upkeep may differ from what one typically expects in Europe, so this is a great getaway for friends or people doing business but perhaps not the tropical island paradise you'd find in other places :)!

The appartment was so cosy and cleanliness was beyond expectations. The host us so thoughtful and provided every necessities. Will definitely come back for my next trip.

The basement and elevator seems a little old, which made me apprehend my stay there, but i was pleasantly surprised when i entered and visited the amazing appartment.
