Résidence Le Dattier, 3 bedrooms apartment, Flic en Flac

Cleanliness , good facilities and the location was excellent.

We were told two weeks b4 arriving that there had been an error by booking.com we would not be staying in the 3 bed apartment that we paid for but we would have to stay in a two bed apartment on the same complex. We were asked if this would be ok or they can give us a refund. We decided to take the two bed as it didn’t give us much time to book another place. No compensation for a smaller apartment given.

Very spacious accommodation with 3 bedrooms. There is a well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 1 terrace + a balcony. The largest bedroom has access to the terrace and also has its own bathroom. There is no A/C in the living room and kitchen, but thanks to the constant windy weather in Mauritius you can open opposite windows and have a nice breeze coming through the apartment. The bedrooms have A/C. There is a nice, large pool in the middle of the building.

The cleaning was being done a bit early to my opinion. We were getting ready to go for a trip at around 8:30 when she knocked on the door. The cleaning lady was nice though as we agreed she would come in about half an hour.

The property was spacious, clean and very close to the tourist spots.

We liked everything.

The place is very spacious, very safe and the complex block has a lovely pool and neighbours. The host is very responsive to messages and the location is wonderful. The air conditioning in the bathroom is great and the free parking is great and secure. The lounge space is comfortable and of a good size. Oven and fridge work well.

You get what you pay for here, it could just do with a bit more love and it would be perfect. Firstly, there is no air conditioning unit in the lounge so in the summer I can imagine that could cause a problem. Also there are no instructions on how to use things which would have been nice to have as we had cold showers for half our stay. There was also the bare minimum amount of toilet paper, dishwashing liquid and some lightbulbs were blown, some extra care here would go a long way. Lastly we had a hiccup with a bottle of diluted bleach left in a clear unmarked water bottle in the bar in the kitchen, there was no remorse for this incident. Overall a pleasant stay here, but issues were overlooked due to the price bracket.

Apartment was very clean with all the necessary facilities the rooms were nice and spacious. Very good location close to shops and beach, very quiet and secure with 24 hour security. Perfect for families.

Bedrooms were too bright in the morning as the curtains were of light coloured material.
