Cande's Apartments

Easy to walk to from the ferry...even with luggage for my daughter's wedding. Someone was there to give me keys and take the luggage up. Great family taco spot around the corner (where I ate two meals in two days!) and pharmacy across the street. There was a full water dispenser in the unit and the air conditioners kept things cool.

beds are hard but adequate. Abdiel, the son of Cande rented us a golf cart and come to find out it was a residential one. Ended up sitting at the station and got a new one. Abdiel didn’t really come around after that. also found out the cost was way more than other place.

The location is very convenient to the ferry, malecon, and Playa Norte. There's a wonderful, inexpensive restaurant downstairs, a farmacia across the street, and a liquor store, 2 little stores for Cokes, snacks, milk, etc. Plenty of restaurants nearby and SO close to Hildago. The apartment had everything. Beach and bath towels, washcloths, soap, kitchen was stocked. I needed a pair of scissors and knew that I'd find a pair in a kitchen drawer (I did). The host even provided ground coffee, filters, and packages of sweeteners and creamer. There were AC units and ceiling fans in both rooms, and it always stayed cool! The WiFi works great. The bed was firm but comfortable and slept great every night. Lots of hangers were in the closet and there was a safe. I'd absolutely stay there again. It was very cozy and the location to everything was perfect. Check-in was also a breeze. Asked taxi driver to take me to Al Natural restaurant. Showed them a pic on my phone. Then asked the ladies in the laundry about Cande's Apartments. They made a call, and someone arrived, took payment, handed over the keys, and showed the apartment. Easy.

The shower head needs to be replaced or cleaned. The water sprayed out in all directions.

Location was fantastic and the apartment itself was very clean and inviting. Restaurant next door was delicious! Rooftop patio was great! (Parents, you can leave a baby monitor in the apartment and go relax on the roof after bedtime!!)

Our one complaint is that we had arranged to be picked up from the ferry port, but we were delayed due to a customs problem that affected our entire flight (they didn’t allow any luggage off the plane for a full hour!). We didn’t have data so we could only communicate with wifi, and as a result we arrived at the port and no one was there. I know it was a confusing situation, but it was still quite frustrating as we had to walk with all our bags, a toddler, and a baby, with directions that were not super detailed.

This is an awesome apartment at the very centre, 5 min walk to the beautiful beach. The host is very helpful and is always in contact should u need anything. The apartment is big, modern and very clean. It has a collection of books even! 🥰

Leaving Isla Mujeres and the apartment.

Lovely apartment just 5-10min walking distance from Playa Norte, the best beach on Isla Mujeres. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need and there was complementary water dispenser what we appreciated a lot. Candelario is amazing host, he responded immediately to all our requests / questions and helped us organize the delivery of our delayed baggage.

It gets a bit noisy weekends from the nearby bars / restaurants but nothing you cannot stand.
