La Hacienda Tilantongo

This is a big location with a view both of the lovely garden and of the ocean. The size of the apartment is big and is well furnished with large kitchen and bedroom spaces. Birds would visit the garden each morning which is a pleasant sight with a coffee. It was also quite quiet despite the proximity to the main road, which is getting more and more difficult to find in a growing Puerto Escondido.

The exterior of the premises including the road is still being developed. In truth it's like a hidden gem that way.

Great location only four minutes from the beach, with a beautiful view of the sea. Woody the host was very welcoming, providing a bottle of wine on arrival and helping us book a taxi when we left.

The bedroom was extremely hot, even with air conditioning and fans running. Also, though a washing machine was advertised, there isn’t one - someone is available to wash your clothes for an extra fee.

This is a wonderful place, perfectly situated with a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden and the ocean. There was always a cool breeze and lots of light. It was very quiet and private. Our host was charming and unusual and everything about our stay was perfect! We would definitely go back.

It was clean, had great amenities and was in a perfect location. Any questions or requests were quickly responded to by Woody or Antonia. It is quiet and easy to get to any of the places around it. Lots of close markets and restaurants.

Boendet var helt fantastiskt! Det var väldigt rent, det såg ut exakt som på bilderna. Det fanns varmvatten och att man kunde dricka vattnet ur kranen var utmärkt. Woody och Antonia var väldigt trevliga och måna om att vi skulle ha det så bra som möjligt!

The apartment is a lot bigger than I expected. Very clean, good ceiling fans, and AC in the room. Antonia is very helpful and super nice. Beautiful sunset view. Away from the busy noise from the bars, but only 4min walk to Zicatela beach and restaurants. You need to cross the main road, and there is no safe crossing, but it's easy enough. Great safe space.

Wonderful host, and assistant. The owner is present at the property and always available with helpful information. As an expat, English only speakers will likely feel comfortable interacting with Woody. (He is also an interesting character!). The apartment has a wonderful view of the best waves at the Zicatela beach; it is a joy to wake up, walk from the bedroom into the kitchen, dining room and be greeted with that view! We spent many happy moments outside on the balcony early in the mornings and just at sunset. We were amazed at the details into the large apartment-all to make guests comfortable. Even the entire water system is purified, another big plus. The garden is replete with native flowering plants, and bird watchers with patience can enjoy a variety of tropical birds in early morning.

The only aspect that guests might want to be aware of is the busy street two blocks below that must be navigated to cross to walk down to the beach area. It also brings a noise factor upstairs at certain times of the day, as well.

We spent an amazing time at La Hacienda Tilantongo. We got a warm welcome from Woody who is a very nice host. The apartment is bigger than expected, quiet with a nice view. Kitchen and bathroom well equiped. The AC and the internet were powerful which was enjoyable. We recommend and we will be happy to come back :)
