Hermoso departamento en Oaxaca con estacionamiento

The owners were nice and it’s in a great location. It’s safe due to a high gate and bars.

The lack of communication between the owners and people who manage the property not efficient. I booked a parking spot as soon as I booked the room. However, the manager told me to stay parked on the street despite being in front of the driveway. I asked again if I should stay there and he assured me it was fine. However, he came to wake me up at 10pm on Christmas night to move my car. The parking area is the problem and I understand why he told me to stay outside. If you are in, you are stuck because other cars WILL be parked behind you. It’s a terrible setup. The bed is rock hard and the pillows flat. I slept in my clothes because the polyester sheets were such terrible quality. The shower has great hot water and pressure, but they haven’t replaced or cleaned the shower head in a long time, so it doesn’t spray properly. The lack of proper ventilation means that everything is waterlogged and falling apart. There is no weatherstripping around the door so the room was FREEZING. It was also very rundown. It is the room in the pictures, but after much wear and tear. After being woken up, I decided to cut my trip short and go ahead and lose the money I paid for the second night and go ahead and leave. I couldn’t have tolerated any of it any longer.

Great affordable location that’s very accessible both from the airport and to the city center. Would love to stay again

Not much. It's 25 minutes walking distance to the zocalo. Okay during the day. Somehow unsafe and scary to return at night.

The lady we called was nice on the phone. But the man who opened the door - we assume it was the male owner or manager - this guy doesn't greet or give you a warm welcome. He is very impolite and ignorant. Seems like he doesn't like any foreign guests. We travel a lot but have never had such a cold host anywhere. His main concern seems that the car is parked in the right way that doesn't bother him. Zero hospitality. Apart from that: Poorly equipped kitchen. Only superficially clean bathroom but smelling like they used a liter of pure chloro. Shower hard to adjust although there is a sign how to do so, it's hard or almost impossible to find the right temperature. Either it is bloody cold or it is mega hot. Provided shampoo was liquified and it is 80% water. Coffee machine was messy inside and we therefore didn't use it. It's incredibly noisy during day and night. Close to a main street of Oaxaca. There is a Christmas store just behind the apartments which plays annoying Christmas songs already in November and mega loud until 22:00. The location is not as good and safe as we thought. The surrounding is not a place a woman should go out at night. Nothing happened. But if something happened, no one would take a note as it is so noisy. Last, not least, we had moscitos in our room. It happens in Oaxaca, yes. Nevertheless these insects don't support the sleep. Fun fact: we didn't hear them as it was too noisy outside... Besides the mattress was not good on one side. Altogether a bad experience. Not much sleep due to the noise. Bad vibes of the owner. Better choose a location which is really central in this magic place. Sorry, but it can't be recommended.

Firstly the host was amazingly helpful and excellent at communicating.. Really went out of her way to help with transportation from the airport and then to the bus station on our departure The property is about a 20-minute walk from the town centre. The walk always felt safe. The apartment provided everything you needed, it's suited if you just need the space to sleep and maybe make a quick meal. Cleanliness was fantastic

There wasn't anything to dislike

I liked the location and it was value for money. They cleaned everyday and provided water. When I had an issue they fixed it straight away.

A great little apartment with everything you need for a nice self contained stay in Oaxaca. Felt safe with lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance, and the centre roughly 20 mins stroll away. A little hard to find initially though.

Due to the location it could get a bit noisy as was very close to a main road with heavy traffic noise, and for a few nights a very loud Christmas shop playing Christmas songs until around 10pm.

Value for money and especially the helpfulness from staff. He went out of his way to help order taxis for us and was patient with us as we do not speak Spanish.

The place is old and some parts are dusty but this is a budget friendly place. It was clean and comfortable and that’s what mattered.
