Great location, easy access. Loved that it came with a carpark. Beautiful apartment, had mostly everything we needed. Would stay again.

Couch legs broke as soon as my daughter sat on it. Looked to be previously broken. Tv remote batteries were flat and no replacements available. Hole in top bunk bed mattress. Other than these items it was a fantastic place and we’d stay again.

The location was great easy walking to shops, climbing the mount, swimming pool and spa, hot pools. Beds were comfy, kitchen, lounge, deck, view all fabulous

Excellent location

The building facilities are fantastic, including the rooftop pool and spa. You can't beat the location at Mount Maunganui. The apartment is right next to the beach, Pilot Bay and the mountain. The beds were comfortable and the general decor is lovely. The apartment is spacious and has a nice outlook.

There are a lot of maintenance issues with the apartment. I can see previous guests have mentioned many in previous reviews (going back months) and these have not been tended to. They just appear to be ignored. Just a few include the bathroom fans that are completely clogged and do not work, the ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom does not work, 2 of the lounge windows do not close, the shower was clogged (we actually cleaned it out during our stay), the heated towel rail does not work, there were 2 blown bulbs in the downstairs bedroom. This is just to name a few issues. On top of this we were presented with a contract to sign on arrival. I explained that we already had a contract as I had booked and paid through Booking.com. The property manager, Jethro, reacted by saying, "To be honest, if you want to stay here, you need to sign the contract." We have stayed in many places and have never been asked to sign an additional contract after we have booked and paid. When I said I did not want to sign out, he stormed out. The windows were absolutely filthy. In order to appreciate the view, we had to have the balcony doors open as you could barely see through the windows. Also it's also worth highlighting that the third bedroom is not really a bedroom. It's a nook with no natural light. It worked fine for our kids, it's just not really an actual bedroom. We really like this building and have stayed in 2 other apartments in the same building prior. This apartment would be great if the Property Managers / Owner invested time and money in basic maintenance.

The fan in the main bedroom didn't work and it was hot ,and the swimming pool was out of bounds

Great apartment in a perfect location. The pool was real bonus. There were a couple of maintenance issues that look like have already been reported. Eg: The bunk bed (wobbled which gave a feeling on being unsafe - might just need some tightening up. It was very comfy for 12 year old and 10 year old as long as they didn’t move!) Drawer front hanging off in downstairs bedroom wardrobe. The bathroom fans have been reported a lot. They look very clogged up so I’m sure just need end of season attention. The only reason though for marking down slightly was the noise that can be heard from the upstairs bedroom. (Again widely reported on most of the earlier reviews - we didn’t dream it was as bad as it was though) The noise was incredibly loud all night. Banging and wheezing. I presume A/C units or something to do with the pool above. It almost makes that room unusable. Ear plugs didn’t work. The bangs sound as if someone is hitting a metal drum inside the bedroom. It’s such a shame because we loved it otherwise but that bedroom just isn’t suitable for a relaxing break unless you bring industrial ear defenders. We visit Mount Maunganui every year and at first thought this would be the best place we’d stayed at but we couldn’t stay again due to the level of noise.
