Right on Tyne

This little cottage was so beautiful upon entry, the decorating was very impressive. Only tiny but heated up really quickly, the day was cold raining when we arrived so the heating was needed. location was great, on street parking but able to park right outside the cottage. Communication from the hosts was great, all instructions delivered before arriving.

Beautiful perfect location. Entire little cottage was wonderful and finished with so much attention to detail. Modern, clean and thoughtful in presentation and finishing.

We didn’t get to spend enough time here to enjoy this location.

I'm just gonna be straight about this: WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE Right on Tyne! It isn't a huge room, but it has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. From a big fridge, stove, toaster, coffee machine, underfloor heating, and smart TV, to thoughtful extras like Ziploc bags, a dishwasher, face wash, cleansing oil, and all kinds of skincare essentials (cleanser, moisturizer, lotion, etc.). It completely surpassed our expectations! The whole cottage is beautifully designed and decorated. The water pressure is great with plenty of hot water, and there’s a washer-dryer combo in the unit. They even offer different pillows with various firmness levels to choose from! The owner even left two seat pads in the room just in case we wanted to go sit at the beach to see the blue penguins—how thoughtful is that?! Not to mention, you can see the beautiful sea right from inside the room! This is truly our dream little cottage for a getaway. The owner is super friendly and informative, too! She gave us all the details we needed before we even checked in. That was awesome! We are definitely going to stay here again if we come back to Oamaru (which we will, what a great little town). Plus, why even go to the beach when you can see blue penguins waddling around the streets? XD

Cosy cottage, very comfortable and warm. Lots of bathroom supplies and kitchen bits and pieces. Very close to town.

Location was not near town centre but only 1km from Little Blue Penguin parade and info centre and within walking distance to Steam Punk Museum..so worth a visit Also stroll through the park opposite Right in Tyne, so interesting.

Such a trivial thing...there were no tissues. The bed was a little uncomfortable.

Extremely well stocked with toiletries, linens and little extras for cooking essentials like oil, salt, pepper and coffee pod machine. Very tastefully decorated/furnished with modern stylish decor. Violeta called in quickly to assist with slight wifi issue. Central location for walking around town to view attractions, a bonus. Brewery nearby offered good selection of drinks and delish ‘ little bluey pizza’ sampled. Easy walk to early evening penguin showing too. Enjoyed short drive out of town heading south towards Karitane, along old coast road with easy access to beaches.

Lots of little luxuries and very well appointed. The location can’t be beaten. Close to everything.
