The services no one thier for you

The location was nearby the intramuros. The view is amazing. The elevator is fast so in a few minutes we were on our 29th floor. They have a nice semi-outdoor swimming pool and a small gym with some basic equipment. But it looked unused (no airco). There was a small supermarket next to the building. McDonald’s and Starbucks just around the corner/ a 5 mins walk. We arrived as announced late. We were met by a friendly security guard. What was nice touch is the two complimentary mangos. So this was the good part of our stay…. But….

The place was infested with cockroaches and other creepy crawlers. The place was filthy and worn out. There were holes and stains in the bedding and linen. There was a kitchen (and also cockroaches). There was one frying pan and one saucepan. Both dirty. We notified the host of our time of arrival. Yet no one (apart from the security guard for the whole building) was there to meet us. The security guard made a few phone calls. And 45 mins later the caretaker arrived. The caretaker made a phone call went a up. After 15 mins he said the apartment was “ready”. Finally… The airco was not sufficient enough to cool the apartment. We had a non-smoking room. In the apartment there was a locked door adjacent to another room (maybe the owner). Someone was smoking and we could hear the sound of continues beeping of a cellphone. Oh the description mentioned daily cleaning… that entails collecting garbage at 17h00. Because of the cockroaches we took it out in the morning ourselves. We later saw the reviews about the cockroaches. So if renting out apartments is your business then it doesn’t seem that the pest control has been taking cared of effectively. Booking.com qualified this apartment with a “genius” level. We wonder why… so we felt a little bit misguided.

Management deleted or lost the ID’s I emailed them. Fortunately I thought to text to confirm on the day of my arrival and was asked to send again thus preventing a delayed check-in. Unit was minimally decorated. Tired furniture, not impressive or inviting. One butter knife among silverware. No shampoo provided. No bottled drinking water provided. Broken, small TV in master bedroom. Shower pull-knob broken. Cockroaches. No side tables next to beds. No lighting next to beds. Dirty iron stained my shirt. No ironing board. Stains on sofa. Smelly food trap under kitchen sink was not cleaned in the guest-free time-window I requested a day before my guest arrived and thus was smelly when guest arrived.

I like how the location is near all the major attractions in the area

I have no complaints

Air conditioner barely kept the place from being hot. It has cockroaches. It's not a hotel but rather a condo and there was no front desk to give you information. No Wi-Fi in the lobby so when I got there as happens in the Philippines you get out of data so it was a big problem. You can't go there ahead of time and store your luggage till they can check you in.
